LA LIGA MONDAY: Our football tipster The Ultra previews Monday’s games between ALAVES v REAL BETIS and ESPANYOL v CADIZ both with a recommended BETDAQ bet.

ALAVES V REAL BETIS

6pm We focus on La Liga this week for Monday night football and we have two competitive fixtures on BETDAQ Betting Exchange. We start the evening with Alaves hosting Real Betis with Alaves increasingly under pressure. Although it’s easy to say it’s early days in the season, it’s never good to be in the bottom three and as the weeks go on the pressure grows. Alaves have only managed one win from seven games with the other six being losses. They have a little advantage of a game in hand on the sides around them, but if they don’t start picking up more points soon they could easily find themselves a little out of touch. Real Betis suffered their second defeat of the season before the International break with a 2-0 loss to Villarreal – their only loss prior to that was against Real Madrid.

Real Betis are sitting happily in mid-table, and to be fair to them they have been creating a lot of chances before losing to Villarreal. In-between losing to Real Madrid, which is expected to be fair, they created xG figures of 2.57, 2.46, 1.91 and 2.31. They are playing good football, and they should win here. I was surprised to see them trading as high as 2.16. Alaves may have beaten Atletico Madrid this season, but they have thrown in some terrible performances. They have finished games with xG figures of 0.47, 0.32 and 0.55 for example. Real Betis will create more than Alaves and they can outclass them to win.

The Ultra Says:
Three points win Real Betis to beat Alaves at 2.16 with BETDAQ Exchange.

ESPANYOL V CADIZ

8pm Another interesting game here as Espanyol host Cadiz. Espanyol went into the International break buzzing after winning 2-1 against Real Madrid – the xG figures said a few would have been a fair result but you can’t knock Espanyol as they created an xG of 1.54. They have had a tough fixture list at the start of the season because they have had to play Atletico Madrid, Sevilla and Real Madrid – but of course the win over Real was a complete bonus. In general they have created enough to win games, and it will be interesting to see how they deal with Cadiz here. Cadiz are your classic mid-to-low La Liga side who are tough to beat. They tend to have a lot of draws, but in fairness to them they had an excellent first season in La Liga last season and they shouldn’t be worried about going down this season either.

They had home advantage but they managed a 0-0 against Barcelona already this season. They should have won the game too – xG finished 1.41 to 0.64 to Cadiz. They performed pretty poorly before the International break only creating an xG of 0.14 against Valencia but they managed to hold out for a 0-0 which was the best they could have hoped for. Espanyol are a solid side, but I wouldn’t have them as short as 1.66 to win here. As I said, Cadiz are a very solid side and they are tough to beat. I fully expect them to make this game closer than the odds suggest, and Espanyol are worth a small lay in my opinion.

The Ultra Says:
One point lay (liability) Espanyol to beat Cadiz at 1.66 with BETDAQ Exchange.
