MONDAY COUPE DE FRANCE: Our football tipster The Ultra previews Monday’s match between PSG v NICE including a recommended BETDAQ bet.

PSG V NICE

8.15pm It’s been a quiet few days around Europe but we’re back in action on Monday on BETDAQ Betting Exchange with PSG hosting Nice in the Coupe de France Last 16. This should be a cracker despite PSG missing some of their star names through injury or International duty. Nice are sitting second in Ligue 1 and although PSG have basically already won the title such in the gap, Nice are playing well enough this season to get a result here. An interesting evening lies ahead!

Nice come into the game in excellent form. They have created xG figures of 1.70, 1.98, 1.39, 0.96 and 1.47 in a five game winning run. The two sides met here at the start of December too and Nice managed to get a 0-0 draw, so it won’t be an easy night’s work for PSG. The home side will also be without Wijnaldum and Neymar who are out through injury and the likes De Maria, Navas, Paredes and Marquinhos are all on International duty. The good news is Messi hasn’t gone on International duty because he was still recovering from Covid19, so he could line-up here. I would definitely keep an eye on the team news as you should see some market movement.

I feel we might see Messi at the bench rather than starting, but Mbappe should lead the PSG line. Nice have no current injury worries and they should be at full strength. You’d imagine that this will be an entertaining game. I know the game finished 0-0 here in December, but PSG created an xG of 1.64 and Nice 0.79. Although Nice are having a great season, you still have to remember the gulf in class here. There’s 11 points between them at the top of the table despite being first and second.

The list of PSG players out makes this game closer than it would usually however, and PSG have dropped some points in Ligue 1 recently. They could only manage draws with Lyon, Lorient and Lens to add to that 0-0 with Nice. Given how strong PSG are domestically, they will more than likely grind out a win here on the way to their third Couope de France in a row, but from a betting point of view I feel they are much too short at 1.52. Nice have shown they can mix it with PSG, and the home side are without so many players here I can see this one being much closer than the odds suggest. Nice to have some top football back in Europe and hopefully we have an excellent week ahead!

The Ultra Says:
Two points lay (liability) PSG to beat Nice at 1.52 with BETDAQ Betting Exchange!
