MONDAY ACTION: The Ultra previews the games between AC MILAN v SALERNITANA and GIRONA v ATLETICO MADRID both with a recommended BETDAQ bet.

AC MILAN V SALERNITANA

7.45pm Another brilliant week starts in Europe on BETDAQ Betting Exchange with Monday night football from Serie A and La Liga! We have some cracking second leg ties in the Last 16 of the Champions League and Europa League this week, along with El Clasico as the weekend before we have an International break. We have AC Milan and Atletico Madrid in action, so we have two interesting markets to look at. We kick off the evening in Serie A with AC Milan hosting Salernitana, the home side will be fully expected to win here given Salernitana aren’t far away from the relegation zone – they have a seven point cushion on the bottom three who have been a little drift all season, and Sepzia beating Inter Milan on Friday night would have been a huge blow to Hellas Verona who were close to getting in touch. I wouldn’t say that Salernitana have been poor at home this season – they basically sit around the same position as they do in the full table compared to just the away table, but a comfortable home win is expected nonetheless.

AC Milan come into the game trading as short as 1.31, with the market very confident on the home win! It’s been a great week already for AC Milan as they went into Quarter-Finals of the Champions League with a 0-0 draw away to Spurs last week. They took a 1-0 lead into the second leg and they did an absolute number on Spurs – they only conceded an xG of 0.51. AC Milan had a setback heading into that game too, losing 2-1 to Fiorentina after bouncing back to put a couple of wins together since they dropped out of the top four. As things stand, they are still out of the top four. It’s an extremely tight race for the top four in Italy this season though – AC Milan are only three points behind Inter who started the weekend in second but obviously lost to Spezia. Salernitana have been poor at both ends of the pitch this season, they are conceding an average xG of 1.9 and only creating 1.0. AC Milan to cover the Handicap will be a popular selection, but with home advantage I feel they can keep a clean sheet here. Both Teams Not To Score is 1.72 and that looks the stand out bet.

The Ultra Says:
Three points win Both Teams Not To Score at 1.72 with BETDAQ BETTING EXCHANGE.

GIRONA V ATLETICO MADRID

8pm Next we move to La Liga to finish the evening as Girona host Atletico Madrid. We have a very different market here compared to the Serie A game above. Atletico Madrid come into the game as the favourites, but they aren’t trading odds on. They are trading 2.16 at the time of writing, and I feel they will be a popular bet at those odds today. Girona look safe sitting in 11th at the start of the weekend – there are a lot of teams between themselves and the bottom three so they are very likely safe – but there is still only five points between them and the relegation zone. That probably highlights how many teams are involved in the relegation battle in La Liga this season, and how tight the race is going to be! Atletico Madrid haven’t been at their best this season because they are well off the pace of the title race, but in recent weeks they have gone into third and it’s hard to see Real Sociedad going past them again. They had a confidence boosting 6-1 win over Sevilla at home last weekend, and they have put together a decent unbeaten run lately. La Liga is their only focus because they didn’t even get into the Europa League after finishing bottom of their Champions League Group! Girona games have been highly entertaining lately – their last three games have finished with score lines of 6-2, 3-2 and 3-2 – hopefully we see more drama here! The market isn’t expecting that many goals this time around however, Under 2.5 goals is the favourite in that market at 1.81 while you can get 1.96 on Both Teams To Score.

I was actually surprised to see the market is favouring a low scoring game here. Girona have played a very open game all season with chances at both ends of the pitch. You only have to look at their xG figures to see how entertaining they have been – their average xG created is 1.7 and their average conceded is 1.5. I know they are only five points away from the bottom three at the start of this matchday, but they don’t play like a side close to the relegation zone (points wise). I can see them moving up the table rather than down, and it also explains why you can get 2.16 on the Atletico win here. I’m happy to stay away from the match odds market here, because this game screams goals in my opinion. Atletico have conceded a lot of sloppy goals this season, and I really like Both Teams To Score at 1.93. Girona definitely create enough to score at some stage, especially with home advantage, and we can see action at both ends of the pitch! The 1.93 offers so much value in my opinion I feel it’s worth a Max Bet.

The Ultra Says:
Five points win Both Teams To Score at 1.93 with BETDAQ BETTING EXCHANGE.
