THE ULTRA ON MONDAY: Our football tipster The Ultra previews Monday’s games between ATALANTA v SAMPDORIA and GRANADA v CADIZ with a recommended BETDAQ bet.

ATALANTA V SAMPDORIA

7.45pm We had a blockbuster weekend around Europe and there’s no rest as the action continues tonight. We have one game from Serie A and one from La Liga for Monday Night Football on BETDAQ Betting Exchange. We start in Serie A with a must win game for Atalanta as they host Sampdoria. Atalanta came through their Europa League tie easily last Thursday night, but they have been dropping plenty of points in Serie A lately and they have fallen out of the top four. They have only managed one win from their last eight league games, and they are without a win in their last five. Unfortunately for Atalanta, this run has come at a terrible time because it has lined up with Juventus gaining momentum and collecting points, so Juventus have broken into the top four now – Atalanta will start this game six points behind Juve needing to win their two games just to join them on points. It’s hard to see them coming back to be honest, Juventus handed them a great chance this season given how slowly they started the season but Atalanta just haven’t taken it.

Atalanta will say that they have been unlucky at times on this eight game run, and they have – they bossed the game against Genoa but had to settle for a 0-0 draw and they were the better side against Juventus but it finished 1-1. They haven’t been creating a huge amount of chances though apart from the 6-2 win over Udinese their games have had a small amount of goals. Under 2.5 goals has won in four of their last five for example. This seems an ideal chance for Atalanta to get back to winning ways because Sampdoria are a very average side and they aren’t great away from home, but I feel the 1.49 is too short to get involved on a side on a poor run like Atalanta at the moment. I can see Sampdoria putting XI men behind the ball and given Atalanta haven’t been creating a lot of chances recently, they are going to have to grind out a win here. Under 2.5 goals has a good recent record in Atalanta games as I highlighted above and it can win again here. The 2.34 looks very appealing – I know the market is expect an easy Atalanta win but I feel it will be tougher than the market expects.

The Ultra Says:
Two points win Under 2.5 goals at 2.34 with BETDAQ BETTING EXCHANGE.

GRANADA V CADIZ

8pm Next we move to La Liga to finish the evening with a massive relegation battle. Granada host Cadiz is a real relegation six pointer! You could say that Mallorca are getting dragged into the relegation battle, but they are two points ahead of Granada who are outside the bottom three and then they are six points ahead of Cadiz. You couldn’t say Mallorca are safe, but it does look like a bottom four. If Granada win here, Mallorca will come under pressure but the bottom three will be further away from them. If Cadiz win here they will only be one point behind Granada and that will blow the relegation battle wide open. A massive game then! Granada will be pleased to have home advantage in such a big game, but as I have said before being away from home isn’t a bad thing for Cadiz. They have been terrible at home with only eight points from 13 games while most of their success this season has come away from home. Cadiz have also been putting together some decent results only losing once in their last five – unfortunately for them that was against Mallorca – while Granada come into this fixture on a long losing run. You get the feeling that Granada have no momentum at the moment, and a loss here would likely see the club really push the panic button. I feel whatever way you look at this fixture, you feel it’s going to be very close. Granada are hot favourites, and they look too short in my opinion at 2.06.

Granada were hammered 4-1 last weekend by Villarreal and although Villarreal have been playing some superb football recently, it was a very out of character performance from Granada! They conceded an xG of 5.12 which is very poor but they created 3.08. Usually you see xG figures of 1.23 v 0.65 and 0.84 v 1.11 in Granada games – to switch tactics up and have such an open game was a surprise but it didn’t work for them. That followed on from conceding an xG of 3.81 to Real Sociedad and one wonders have they messed up things at the back searching for more goals. The sides met in December and drew 1-1, which was good for Cadiz considering how bad they have been at home this season. I just can’t get away from the Granada lay here at 2.08 – Cadiz are a better side away from home, come into the game with more confidence and have been grinding out results lately. I feel everything lines up for Cadiz here, but I expect a very close game. The 2.06 is worth a confident lay.

The Ultra Says:
Four points lay (liability) Granada to beat Cadiz at 2.06 with BETDAQ BETTING EXCHANGE.
