SATURDAY IN EUROPE: Our football tipster The Ultra previews Saturday’s European action from La Liga and the Bundesliga with recommended BETDAQ bets.

SC FREIBURG V DORTMUND

2.30pm We have a superb Saturday in Europe with some top sides in action and all football bets are 0% Commission on BETDAQ Betting Exchange! We start in the Bundesliga with Freiburg hosting Dortmund. You have to say that Dortmund were the winners of the opening weekend with a 5-2 win over Eintracht Frankfurt while Bayern Munich and RB Leipzig dropped points. I don’t think anyone is expecting Bayern to lose their title, but it would be nice if someone could get close and make a race out of it. Although Dortmund impressed, they did conceded twice and give away an xG of 2.18 – they also lost 3-1 on Tuesday to Bayern in the German Super Cup. They have work to do at the back if they are going to be successful this season, but that’s unlikely to become an issue today.

Freiburg are your average mid-table Bundesliga side, but they can frustrate the top sides. For example they beat Dortmund 2-1 with home advantage last season. That was before Dortmund turned their form around with a superb finish to the season. They look full of confidence at the moment – there must be a good spirit in the camp. Freiburg created a decent amount against Arminia Bielefeld on the opening weekend but they couldn’t score. Of course, it’s all about the odds here and I had Dortmund at 1.5 to win here – they are currently trading 1.58 so I’m happy with eight ticks of value. Freibrug are an average side, and Dortmund should deal with them.

The Ultra Says:
Three points win Dortmund to beat SC Freiburg at 1.58 with BETDAQ Exchange.

BAYER LEVERKUSEN V GLADBACH

5.30pm Next we have the fixture of the day in the Bundesliga. Bayer Leverkusen host Gladbach in what should be a cracker. Both sides drew 1-1 on the opening weekend, however Gladbach would have been the much happier side as their 1-1 draw came against Bayern Munich. They did conceded an xG of 3.13, but they also created 2.02 – overs backers would have felt very unlucky not to collect – there could have been five goals never mind over 2.5! The 1-1 draw between Bayer Leverkusen and Union Berlin was much closer – that was a very cagey game and it will be fascinating to see the tactics from both sides today. Gladbach went backwards last season as they only finished 8th, but they were still only three points between Leverkusen in the table.

Of course, you’re always going to have a competitive market between these two sides. However I expected the odds to be a lot closer together. Leverkusen are clear favourites at 2.34 while Gladbach are trading 2.92. For me the value is with Gladbach after seeing the sides play on the opening weekend – I think Gladbach will create more and win the game. However, I also feel there is more value with the Leverkusen lay because that price is more out of line. I expected a very even market, but Leverkusen look way too short at 2.34. It would be a shame to back Gladbach and the game to finish a draw, having felt Leverkusen are offering the value within the market because their price is too short. The Leverkusen lay will do for me, in a reasonably confident bet.

The Ultra Says:
Three points lay Bayer Leverkusen to beat Gladbach at 2.34 with BETDAQ Exchange.

ATHLETIC BILBAO V BARCELONA

9pm We finish the day in La Liga with another excellent fixture. Athletic Bilbao host Barcelona in wat should be an intriguing game. Barcelona started life without Lionel Messi last weekend and they managed to score four goals in a 4-2 win over Real Sociedad. They finished the game with an xG of 3.61 and you have to say that they couldn’t have started any better considering all the Messi drama in the weeks leading up to the season. Perhaps the Messi issue was hanging over the dressing room? It will be fascinating to see their upcoming performances as I felt Real Sociedad would have been a tough test for them. They have another tough test here away to Athletic Bilbao and it was in games like this were Messi produced some magic to pull them through the difficult moments.

Athletic Bilbao started their season with a disappointing 0-0 draw against Elche. It was disappointing for two reasons, the first being they only created an xG of 0.72 which is very poor and the second being Elche finished 17th last season and you felt Bilbao should have beaten them. I was keen to see how Barcelona performed last week and they did impress me enough to back them at 1.95 here. If Bilbao play as poorly as they did on the opening weekend, then this will be one way traffic. I’m happy to limit my stakes because the jury is still out on the new Barcelona, but at 1.95 they are worth backing tonight.

The Ultra Says:
Two points win Barcelona to beat Athletic Bilbao at 1.95 with BETDAQ Exchange.
