SATURDAY BUNDESLIGA/LA LIGA: Our football tipster The Ultra previews HOFFENHEIM V DORTMUND, SEVILLA V CELTA VIGO and ATLETICO MADRID V VALENCIA all including a recommended BETDAQ bet.

HOFFENHEIM V DORTMUND

2.30pm I am buzzing for this weekend in Europe and we have a fantastic two days ahead. All football bets are 0% Commission on BETDAQ Betting Exchange on Saturday and we have a big day ahead of the title challengers. We kick the action off in the Bundesliga with Hoffenheim hosting Dortmund in the pick of the afternoon games. As I said last Friday, Dortmund just have to keep winning and hope that Bayern Munich slip up somewhere. Let’s be honest, the title is highly, highly likely to go to Bayern Munich but they have thrown in the odd poor result to give Dortmund hope. Dortmund have been a little funny recently – they draw against Bochum was unlucky as they created an xG of 2.68 in a 0-0, but then they lost to Hertha Berlin and St Pauli in the German Cup midweek which was strange. They clearly aren’t at their best, but they are hanging in there in the title race. I’m sure the Erling Haaland situation isn’t really helping things, and the rumours this week have been Real Madrid are preparing a bid this summer.

It would be sad to see him leave the Bundesliga to be honest. Although nobody is getting close to Bayern, I always feel when they do they sell their best stars. Just look at RB Leipzig last season and now where they are. Nevertheless, this is another tricky away tie for Dortmund to overcome. They impressed away to Eintracht Frankfurt recently, and they will need another similar level of performance here. Hoffenheim are having a great season as they sit in fourth spot, but they arrive into this fixture having only won once in their last five games. They also lost midweek in the German Cup, and they were poor away to Union Berlin last weekend. They have been conceding a host of chances recently, and I’m not sure Dortmund should be odds against for this one. I know Dortmund aren’t exactly bomb proof, but given the xG figures conceded from Hoffenheim the 2.16 on Dortmund looks too big here to start the day.

Three points win Dortmund to beat Hoffenheim at 2.16 with BETDAQ Betting Exchange!

SEVILLA V CELTA VIGO

5.30pm We move to La Liga next at Sevilla host Celta Vigo. Although Sevilla are having their best season for a while, it was bitterly disappointing to see them draw with Valencia midweek. I know it was a reasonably tricky away game because Valencia have been playing good football this season and have improved from last year, but that was Sevilla’s game in hand and they could have got to within two points of Real Madrid. I said that Sevilla wouldn’t really scare Real Madrid as Real Madrid wouldn’t really view them as title challengers, but getting to within two points surely would have put some bit of pressure on Real. As it stands, the gap is four points and any further dropped points from Sevilla will likely see the title race over. You might say it’s been over for a while given how far Atletico Madrid and Barcelona have been off the pace this season, but Sevilla were giving it a good go at least. Celta Vigo were in action on the same night as Sevilla, and they ran out 2-0 winners over Osasuna. Celta Vigo are your classic midtable La Liga side, and Sevilla should really be winning this fixture.

That being said, Celta Vigo did manage to beat Real Betis away from home recently so don’t assume this will be easy for Sevilla. I still feel the 1.82 is worth taking on Sevilla here though as Celta Vigo just concede too many chances. Sevilla will do their usual, play a cagey first half and build themselves into the game before taking control in the second half. They like to keep things very tight at the back – they have only conceded xG figures of 0.76, 0.22 and 0.34 recently. They were lucky to get the results they did against Altetico Madrid and Barcelona, but you can’t knock them as they love to grind out results. Given Celta Vigo are likely to be much more open at the back, that’s where I see the game being won. Celta will make the mistakes here, and they will have a hard time trying to break down this Sevilla side. I have the home side a handful of ticks shorter, and the 1.82 is a reasonably confident bet. With Real Madrid playing tomorrow, it really is a shame Sevilla couldn’t beat Valencia as they could have gone top with a win here – fine margins at the top!

ATLETICO MADRID V VALENCIA

8pm We stay in La Liga to finish Saturday in Europa as Atletico Madrid host Valencia. As I said above, Valencia were able to stop Sevilla midweek so this won’t be an easy nights work for Atletico. It’s no secret that Atletico haven’t been at their best this season, but they have been a little unlucky. They started the season not creating enough to win games, and now they are creating enough but they aren’t taking their chances. They lost two massive games to Real Madrid and Sevilla prior to Christmas, but both times they finished the game with a higher xG figure. That being said, the xG table doesn’t move them from fourth, and they actually have work to do if they are going to finish in the top four – they have a lot of teams around them in with a shout, and they need to go on a little winning run to settle that question. It’s always going to be a little uncomfortable sitting in fourth with Barcelona chasing!

Atletico haven’t played for a while – nearly two weeks – but they drew 2-2 away to Villarreal on the 9th. They were actually very lucky to pick up that draw, they conceded an xG of 2.47 and only created 0.64. The signs are clearly there that they haven’t been at their best this season, and the 1.52 does feel a little short here. I know there is a gulf in class between the sides, and Valencia are solid but limited, however I’d still have Atletico around 1.6 here and not 1.52. Perhaps this is a game to limit stakes, but Valencia came up very short away to Real Madrid recently. They are midtable in the away table, as they are in the home table and after their improved from last season that’s what they are now – you’re classic mid table La Liga side, too bad to go down, too limited to get close to the top six. I still feel that they can cause this Atletico side problems though, and the 1.52 is worth a small lay.

One point win Atletico Madrid to beat Valencia at 1.52 with BETDAQ Betting Exchange!
