SATURDAY IN EUROPE: The Ultra previews Saturday’s games between RB LEIPZIG v DORTMUND, CADIZ v BARCELONA and ATLETICO MADRID v CELTA VIGO all with a recommended BETDAQ bet.

RB LEIPZIG V DORTMUND

2.30pm Another fantastic weekend around Europe on BETDAQ Betting Exchange awaits! We have some cracking fixtures across the Bundesliga and La Liga with the top sides in action. It’s a busy afternoon in the Bundesliga but there’s no doubt what the highlight fixture is – RB Leipzig host Dortmund and that’s where we start the action. It’s fair to say that RB Leipzig have had a terrible start to the season and they basically need a win here to kick start their season. They sit down in mid-table with only five points from five games, and apart from the Wolfsburg win they have looked very average. Remarkably they lost 4-1 midweek in the Champions League to Shakhtar Donetsk with home advantage. Given they started that game as heavy favourites that might set the alarm bells ringing loudly. They should be ringing after the start to the season, but that result midweek was woeful. Dortmund had a smooth 3-0 win and they have started life without Erling Haaland very positively. If you look at their xG figures they aren’t exactly creating chances for fun and dominating games but they are getting the job done. Their 2-3 loss against Werder Bremen was their one shock result – they didn’t create enough to win the game.

There’s a lot on the line for both sides here. A loss would really set Dortmund back in their bid to at least stay within touching distance of Bayern Munich while another loss for RB Leipzig would see them in a difficult position. I know RB Leipzig started the season slowly last time, but they can forget even getting close to Bayern Munich. Their standard has dropped dramatically over last season and then this one. While I expected to see a pretty open market, I wasn’t expecting to see RB Leipzig as short as 2.42 when I clicked into the market. That to me is an exceptionally short price, and really stands out as a good value lay. I fully except Dortmund haven’t been at their best this season, but they have been miles better than RB Leipzig. I’m very happy to have a Max Lay at 2.42 on the home win.

The Ultra Says:
Five points lay (liability) RB Leipzig to beat Dortmund at 2.42 with BETDAQ BETTING EXCHANGE.

CADIZ V BARCELONA

5.30pm Next we move over to La Liga as Cadiz host Barcelona. When you have lost your opening four games of the season, the last side you want to see rock up is Barcelona! Well perhaps the second last with the last being Real Madrid. Cadiz barely avoided going down last season, and they are going to really struggle again this season. At the moment it seems that their good first season in La Liga was just good luck, and they definitely suffered from second season syndrome. They have faced reasonably sides in their opening four games, and their performances were very average. Obviously this fixture is going to be very difficult, but it adds a huge amount of pressure to Cadiz already nailed to the bottom of the table with zero points. The signs aren’t good however, they have conceded xG figures of 2.32, 3.05, 3.27 and 1.18 while only creating 0.33, 1.06, 0.26 and 0.49. Very poor figures and now they face a Barcelona side who have found their goal scoring touch again in recent weeks. After a disappointing 0-0 to start the season with home advantage against Rayo Vallecano they have won 4-1, 4-0, 3-0 and 5-1. I know Sevilla have been really struggling at the start of the season, but that 3-0 win stood out because they finished the game with an xG of 4.81. It’s rare you see an xG figure that big away from home, they could have easily doubled the score line.

I feel it’s a question of how many goals can Barcelona score rather than will they win here. The market agrees with Barcelona trading as short as 1.26 at the time of writing. While I won’t be recommending them at that price, no prizes for tipping those prices after all, I couldn’t put anyone off including them in any Betdaq Multiple this weekend. This should be a straightforward win to be honest. Given the amount of chances that Cadiz have conceded this season, Barcelona can easily cover the 1.5 goal handicap here. That really stands out as a great value bet at 1.72 – don’t forget that Cadiz weren’t strong at home last season either. If you look at the home form table Cadiz finished bottom last season so they aren’t strong here.

The Ultra Says:
Three points Barcelona -1.5 goals to beat Cadiz at 1.72 with BETDAQ BETTING EXCHANGE.

ATLETICO MADRID V CELTA VIGO

8pm We stay in La Liga to finish the day as Atletico Madrid host Celta Vigo. Atletico Madrid have had some setbacks in La Liga already this season – they lost to Villarreal and only drew with Real Sociedad last weekend. I don’t think they would be too unhappy with their performances, but when you look at their xG figures they aren’t a side that I would be rushing to back at the moment. Their game midweek in the Champions League against Porto was crazy too, they won 2-1 but it was 0-0 going into injury time! We saw absolute drama with Porto making it 1-1 in the 96th minute and then Atletico winning it in the 101st minute! Under 2.5 goal backers can feel unlucky there! Celta Vigo are your classic mid-table La Liga side, and with Atletico not really firing at the moment they will fancy their chances here. As you would expect, Atletico are the favourites but I do feel that the 1.68 is a little short. It wasn’t be a very confident bet because Celta Vigo are an average La Liga side as I said, but I expect a closer game than the odds suggest.

When you look through Atletico’s games this season, they haven’t really bossed a fixture. In the games with goals they have nearly conceded the same xG as they created. They also conceded an xG of over double what they created here against Porto midweek. It’s hard to get a full read on Celta Vigo because they have played Cadiz and Girona in their last two games and you’d imagine that they will be involved in the relegation battle this season. Prior to that they did get fully outclassed by Real Madrid too – but you would expect that to be honest. I’m keen to keep stakes low here because technically Atletico should outclass Celta Vigo but they just aren’t playing at their best so I expect a closer game than the odds suggest.

The Ultra Says:
One point lay (liability) Atletico Madrid to beat Celta Vigo at 1.68 with BETDAQ BETTING EXCHANGE.
