BUNDESLIGA AND LA LIGA: The Ultra previews Saturday’s top games including a recommended BETDAQ bet.

BAYERN MUNICH V AUGSBURG

2.30pm It’s been an incredible week in Europe, and we have a cracking weekend ahead on BETDAQ Betting Exchange. We have some fantastic action from the Bundesliga and La Liga! We start in the Bundesliga, and Bayern Munich are back in action after taking the headlines in the Champions League for the wrong reasons. They left themselves with work to do in the second leg next week with a 1-0 loss away to Villarreal – they will still be confident of going through but it definitely makes the second leg more interesting! In the Bundesliga, they have a very nice cushion after RB Leipzig beat Dortmund last weekend so they can afford to overlook this fixture and focus on the Champions League next week. Augsburg will be hoping to benefit from that, and while they aren’t really involved in the relegation race, they aren’t too far away. They start the weekend six points ahead of the bottom three which is a reasonably nice position, but they have been in the mix and needed those three wins from their last four games.

The market can’t see past a Bayern win here with the German Champions trading as short as 1.14 at the time of writing. In my view that’s an incredibly short price for a side in Bayern’s position – like I said above surely all their focus is on the Champions League game next week. That being said, they could put out the second XI here and still win given the gulf in class between the sides and there’s no getting away from that. It seems unreasonable to think that we’ll see an upset here, but I expect a slightly sluggish performance from Bayern. I can see them going 2-0 or 3-0 up and easing up. You’ll see a few subs with an eye on the Champions League game too and this is just a case of getting the job done. With that in mind I like under 4.5 goals at 1.66. This price stands out for me as Augsburg will likely sit back to play for a draw, and it also even allows for a 4-0 Bayern win. I’m happy to keep stakes small on this one, but the 1.66 really does stand out.

The Ultra Says:
Two points win Under 4.5 goals at 1.66 with BETDAQ BETTING EXCHANGE.

MALLORCA V ATLETICO MADRID

3.15pm Next we move to La Liga for our final two games today, and we start with Mallorca hosting Atletico Madrid. We’re at the stage of the season now when every game is huge for Mallorca given the situation in the relegation battle. They have went on a losing run at the worst time and fallen into the bottom three. Cadiz have put some good results together at the same time too, and now Mallorca start the weekend sitting two points behind Cadiz and three behind Granada. Mallorca have lost seven games in a row now, and things don’t get easier with Atletico Madrid in town. Most of Mallorca’s points this season have come at home, so they’ll be hopeful of finding enough points between now and the end of the season to stay up. Atletico Madrid arrive in excellent form though, and although they broke their winning run in the Champions League during the week they wouldn’t have been unhappy to lose 1-0 away to Manchester City. Obviously they still face a massive task in the second leg but they will believe they can get through after that result.

I’m not going to judge Atletico too much on that performance away from home mid-week. With the away goal rule changes, it benefits sides to be quite negative away from home in the first leg now. They actually finished the game with an xG of 0.0 but to be fair I would suggest they went into the game with those tactics – I feel they will view that result as job done and onto the home tie. Prior to that they had been putting some nice wins together in La Liga, and they will add to the Mallorca losing run. I was very surprised to see Atletico trading 2.0 when I clicked into the market here – I fully expected them to be trading odds on. I know they will have one eye on the Champions League game next week, but they can’t afford to ease up in La Liga given Real Betis are only four points behind them and still chasing that top four spot. I’m happy to reduce stakes because of the Champions League situation, but the 2.0 looks a cracking bet.

The Ultra Says:
Three points win Atletico Madrid to beat Mallorca at 2.0 with BETDAQ BETTING EXCHANGE.

REAL MADRID V GETAFE

8pm We stay in La Liga to finish the day as Real Madrid host Getafe. Real Madrid come into this fixture on cloud nine after an excellent 3-1 win away to Chelsea in the Champions League mid-week. Even Tuchel the Chelsea manager said the tie was over! Real Madrid will know that they have work to do to see out the tie, but they are in a fantastic position to reach yet another Champions League Semi-Final. They can also approach the Champions League without pressure in La Liga where they started the weekend with a 12 point advantage at the top of the table after Barcelona beat Sevilla last weekend. It looks like Barcelona will finish second now, and after the 4-0 El Clasico win we should see another ding-dong battle for the title next season. For now, Real can enjoy the end of the season on the way to another La Liga crown and they can focus on the Champions League too. Getafe will be hoping to spoil the party here, but there’s a massive gulf in class here and it’s hard to see past a comfortable home win here. I couldn’t make the case for laying Real at the odds anyway.

That being said, Getafe have only lost once in their last six games. That loss did come away from home though, and they haven’t been creating a lot away from home recently. They have produced xG figures likes 0.69, 0.66 and 0.95 away recently. Overall they haven’t collected many points away this season too with only seven from fifteen games. It’s hard to see anything bar a Real win here, and while I would recommend putting them in any BETDAQ Multiple this weekend at 1.44, I’m not going to recommend them as my best bet here. My best bet is under 2.5 goals which looks cracking value at 1.9. Apart from a crazy 4-3 game with Atletico Madrid, Getafe usually keep their games very tight. Their recent games haven’t seen many goals, and it’s highly likely that they will approach this game in a negative fashion. They will arrive here to play for a draw, and while I can see Real grinding out a win, I strongly feel this will be a low scoring game.

The Ultra Says:
Two points win Under 2.5 goals at 1.9 with BETDAQ BETTING EXCHANGE.
