SATURDAY IN EUROPE: The Ultra previews Saturday’s matches between DORTMUND v WOLFSBURG, JUVENTUS v BOLOGNA and GETAFE v VILLARREAL all including a recommended BETDAQ bet.

DORTMUND V WOLFSBURG

2.30pm It’s been a blockbuster week in Europe on BETDAQ Betting Exchange! We’ve had high drama in the Champions League and Europa League Quarter-Finals, and perhaps returning to domestic football without any huge top of the table clashes is a come down, but we still have some very important games to enjoy. We have games from the Bundesliga, Serie A and La Liga today, and we start in the Bundesliga with Dortmund hosting Wolfsburg. Dortmund bounced back from a heavy defeat to RB Leipzig last weekend with a 2-0 win over Stuttgart – the score line didn’t tell the full story however as they conceded an xG of 2.12. Perhaps I expect more from Dortmund and I know how difficult it is to compete with Bayern Munich, but you can’t help but feel disappointed again with Dortmund this season. Wolfsburg also have major issues this season – they are far enough away from the relegation zone to not worry about that, but they have been so poor this season. They start this weekend sitting down in 13th, quite a drop from being a top four side last season.

When you look at the Wolfsburg stats in the Bundesliga this season you can clearly see they are struggling all over the pitch. They aren’t creating enough in front of goal, and they are giving away too many chances at the back. There aren’t many positives! It takes a lot to go from 4th down to 13th, and they really have been that bad this season. I know you wouldn’t really call Dortmund reliable, but I didn’t expect them to be trading as big as 1.57 to beat Wolfsburg at home. That price is simply too big to turn down in my opinion, and I will just limit stakes given my worries about Dortmund. The home side have obviously been giving away too many chances, but given Wolfsburg have been so limited going forward I feel they will get away with it today. I can’t see past a Dortmund win here to be honest, but it’s a good idea to keep stakes reasonably low when you look at the xG figures. I think a better side would beat Dortmund today, but Wolfsburg are there for the beating.

The Ultra Says:
Two points win Dortmund to beat Wolfsburg at 1.57 with BETDAQ BETTING EXCHANGE.

JUVENTUS V BOLOGNA

5.30pm Next we move over to Serie A as Juventus host Bologna. We have been treated to some huge games in Serie A recently, but this is a pretty tame Saturday by recent standards! Napoli host Roma in the big game of the week on Sunday, and this is a game that Juventus should really be winning. Juventus may have started the season very slowly and it took them a while to adjust to life without the Ronaldo goals, but they have been pretty consistent for a while now. They have a nice five point cushion sitting in fourth place – at one stage it looked like they would miss out on Champions League football earlier in the season and that would have been a huge blow. Bologna are your classic mid-table Serie A side, and I feel this is a question of how many goals will Juventus score rather than will they win. The market is confident on the home win here with Juventus trading 1.36 and that’s definitely one for any BETDAQ Multiple this weekend in my opinion.

It hasn’t all been plain sailing for Juventus – they had a setback at the start of the month with a 1-0 loss to Inter Milan here. However, they didn’t play badly and were unlucky to lose – they finished the game with an xG of 1.93. Other than the disappointment of crashing out of the Champions League to Villarreal, they have been putting the average Serie A sides to the sword. Bologna broke a run without a win last weekend with a 2-0 win over Sampdoria who are sitting down in 16th, but that win came at home and they have been pretty poor away from home. They have less than one point per game away from home this season, and I feel Juventus can cover the handicap here. I’m surprised to see Juventus trading odds against -1.5 goals and the 2.08 is worth a confident bet. This should be a routine win, and Juventus have been banging in two or three goals against the average Serie A sides recently – this will be a similar story.

The Ultra Says:
Four points win Juventus -1.5 goals to beat Bologna at 2.08 with BETDAQ BETTING EXCHANGE.

GETAFE V VILLARREAL

8pm We move over to La Liga to finish the day as Getafe host Villarreal. It was a fantastic week for Villarreal as they reached the Champions League Semi-Final. It’s fair to say not many football fans expect them to knock out Bayern Munich but they deserve massive credit over the two ties. They grinded out a 1-0 win when they had home advantage and finished with an xG higher than Bayern. Then, of course they were going to be under immense pressure in Germany, but they bounced back from going 1-0 down and held on to get a result! It was an excellent thing for Villarreal that they scored late and it didn’t really give Bayern time to respond, but you can’t say that Villarreal didn’t deserve to win. They also performed superbly well against Juventus in the Last 16. The club will be buzzing after that result, but it’s also fair to say that they have been a little off the pace in La Liga this season. They currently sit in 7th place, and they are detached from the top six. Real Sociedad and Real Betis played each other on Friday night, but at the start of the weekend Villarreal had a gap of eight points to sixth. Perhaps they can win the Champions League to get into it next year! It’s likely that they will get into Europe though if Real Betis can win the Copa del Rey as there is a Europa spot for the winner of that competition and then there will be an extra spot if they finish 5th in La Liga.

Although it’s clear that Villarreal will definitely put a lot of focus on the Champions League now, and they have a very tough Semi-Final against Liverpool too, they can’t afford to take their eye off the ball in La Liga. It’s quite tight with them, Athletic Bilbao and possibly Valencia for that 7th spot. They simply have to win games like this one against Getafe who at times this season and have in a relegation fight, but to their credit they are sitting comfortably in mid-table. This will be a tough test for Villarreal though as Getafe have been pretty solid at home this season. There is clearly a few levels between the clubs here, but you know that this won’t be easy for Villarreal and I’m not surprised to see an open market too. I felt if Villarreal were close to 2.2 I’d be tempted to lay them, but the market looks about right with them trading 2.62. The bet I like here is under 2.5 goals at 1.63 – Villarreal have been keeping their games very tight recently, and so have Getafe too – with Getafe having home advantage they will make this a close game as well – I think everything points to a low scoring game here and under 2.5 goals stands out.

The Ultra Says:
Three points win Under 2.5 goals at 1.63 with BETDAQ BETTING EXCHANGE.
