WORLD CUP QUALIFIERS: Our football tipster The Ultra previews Saturday’s World Cup Qualifiers with the games featuring Republic Of Ireland, Scotland, Northern Ireland and England all with a recommended BETDAQ bet.

AZERBAIJAN V REPUBLIC OF IRELAND

5pm It’s been an excellent week of International football and we have a bumper day ahead on Saturday with all football bets 0% Commission on BETDAQ Betting Exchange! We kick the action off at 5pm with Azerbaijan hosting the Republic of Ireland. It’s been a grim few years for Ireland and although Stephen Kenny has a lot of support from League of Ireland fans, you have to say that patience is wearing thin. Ireland has a huge lack of talent in their squad at the moment, and they are losing key players to England because players in general don’t see a future playing for Ireland at major tournament. Think back to how many players came to play for Ireland with English backgrounds under Jack Charlton; now the opposite is happening and it’s hard to see Ireland making it to a major tournament for a number of years at the moment.

Ireland put in a hugely promising performance in defeat away to Portugal at the start of September, but then they followed that up a couple of days later with a 1-1 draw against Azerbaijan with home advantage. It was a case of classic Ireland at the moment; play well away from home against a top side and then struggle to create anything against the smaller sides. We landed a nice lay on Ireland in that game, and we can land another lay on them here at 2.3. The more of the ball Ireland seem to get, the less they do. They really struggle to create chances and score goals – their record over the last few years is terrible and it’s hard to see how they are good value here at 2.3. I know Azerbaijan are a very limited side, but so is Ireland. A draw is a tempting bet, even a small bet on 0-0 correct score, but the Ireland lay stands out here in what should be a low quality affair.

The Ultra Says:
Three points lay (liability) Republic of Ireland to beat Azerbaijan at 2.3 with BETDAQ Exchange.

SCOTLAND V ISRAEL

5pm Next we have a huge game in Group F. You only have to look at the table to see how big this game is for both sides. Denmark are clear at the top of the Group with six wins from six games, but Scotland and Israel are battling it out for second place. At the moment, Scotland sit in second with 11 points and Israel are just one point behind them. There’s a bit of a gap back to Austria with seven points, and I have to say it’s a little bit of surprise how poorly Austria have performed in this Group – many football fans would have seen Austria are clear second best, maybe even challenging Denmark for first. Scotland and Israel will know each other very well by this stage – they have played together in the Nations League, the Euro 2020 Playoffs and now the World Cup Qualifiers.

I don’t recall two International teams playing each other in competitive games as much as these two have in the last few years. There will be no surprises for either side. Both sides have actually improved a lot recently, and they have been playing some decent football. There’s been quite a few draws between them, and we saw a 1-1 draw earlier in the Group when Israel had home advantage. It’s hard to see past a Scotland win here though and the 2.0 is too tempting to turn down. Scotland have been very impressive this year. Although they didn’t win a game at Euro 2020, they played decent football. They recorded a massive 1-0 win away to Austria in the last matchday and they can carry that momentum onto this game. A win would be huge for Scotland, and I believe they will do it.

The Ultra Says:
Two points win Scotland to beat Israel at 2.0 with BETDAQ Exchange.

SWITZERLAND V NORTHERN IRELAND

7.45pm We have another big game here as Switzerland host Northern Ireland in Group C. It’s clear now that Italy will top this Group, and as they are busy this week in the Nations League Finals, that leaves a huge game here in the race for second. Switzerland will be heavy odds on favourites for that spot of course, but Northern Ireland can get slap bang back in the mix with a win here. Of course, saying that is a lot easier than doing it! At the moment, Switzerland and Northern Ireland have only played four games each, and Northern Ireland sit three points behind Switzerland. So while Northern Ireland fans will be thinking we join them with a win, Switzerland will be thinking win their two games in hand over Italy and join Italy at the top of the Group!

In the last Matchday, Northern Ireland managed to hold Switzerland to a 0-0 draw in front of their own fans. As I said at the time, Northern Ireland are a much better side at home compared to away from home, and it’s hard to see them performing to the same level as in Belfast. This is an excellent chance for Switzerland to win and get a little closer to Italy – having said that, I didn’t expect to see Switzerland as short at 1.35 when clicking into the market. I know Northern Ireland are better at home, but they aren’t that bad – they are a solid side. I’m happy to have a small lay on the home side because I feel the odds are woefully short – Switzerland will likely outclass Northern Ireland, but they shouldn’t be this price in my opinion and I expect a closer game than the odds suggest.

The Ultra Says:
One point lay (liability) Switzerland to beat Northern Ireland at 1.35 with BETDAQ Exchange.

ANDORRA V ENGLAND

7.45pm We finish a fascinating day in Group I with Andorra hosting England. This is the least competitive game of the day and it is a case of “how many goals for England” rather than will they win. We don’t quite have the shortest price of the day however! England are 1.02 to win here while Poland are 1.01 at home to San Marino. England have been excellent thus far in Group I and there won’t be any shocks here. This is a nice warm up game before a bigger game against Hungary in a few days time. Andorra can hold their heads high because they have actually won a game in this Group, beating San Marino 2-0 and they haven’t been totally embarrassed. They can’t be expected to live with the other sides in this Group, but they haven’t been losing 7-0 or 8-0. You have to consider the gulf in class here.

Andorra managed to keep Hungary down to just a 2-1 win over them, and while this should be a smooth win for England, it’s likely Andorra will stick XI men behind the ball and try limit the damage. With bigger games to come later, England might not get out of first or second gear here and be happy with a 2-0 or 3-0 win. That makes the goals market interesting, because over 3.5 goals is odds on at 1.7. This is definitely a game for small stakes given the gulf in class between the sides and the fact an England win is close to certain. I feel Andorra will keep the score line respectable though, and I’m happy with a small bet on under 3.5 goals at 2.24.

The Ultra Says:
One point win Under 3.5 goals at 2.24 with BETDAQ Exchange.
