BUNDESLIGA / LA LIGA PREVIEW: Our European football tipster The Ultra previews Sunday’s games between HOFFENHEIM v EINTRACHT FRANKFURT and REAL BETIS v BARCELONA both with a recommended BETDAQ bet.
HOFFENHEIM V EINTRACHT FRANKFURT
2.30pm It might not be the most glamorous day in Europe but I have two bets I like today. We start in the Bundesliga with Hoffenheim hosting Eintracht Frankfurt. I think this game screams goals on paper, and over 3.5 goals makes a lot of appeal at 2.05. Frankfurt come into the game in great form having scored 13 goals in their last four games, but they do enjoy playing a very open game and I feel this will suit Hoffenheim too. I can see these two gelling together very well and creating a very open end-to-end game.
Frankfurt are rightly favourites looking at their xG figures, but I feel the 2.32 on them to win doesn’t offer the same kind of value the 2.05 does on goals. Hoffenheim like to play an open game too – you only have to look at their xG figures to see that. They lost their last game 4-1 to Bayern Munich, and although they make have beaten Koln 3-0 prior to that – they actually gave away an xG of 2.70 and were very lucky not to concede a goal. I can only see plenty of chances here in an entertaining affair, and I’d have over 3.5 goals odds on.

REAL BETIS V BARCELONA
8pm We finish the day in La Liga as Barcelona travel to take on Real Betis. Barcelona went second after last weekend’s fixture list but they were still ten points behind Atletico. They have really improved in recent weeks, but they threw away their chance of winning the title with a poor start to the season. It will be very interesting to see what is the next move with Messi – the dressing room seems settled at the moment – but it has taken a lot of time to get there! Barcelona had an eventful win midweek in the domestic Cup with a 5-3 win over Granada, but you can see looking at their xG figures they have been creating a lot recently.
Real Betis have been playing nice football too this season, and we landed a nice bet with them against Osasuna on Monday night; however I really like the Barcelona price at 1.56. Their xG figures recently have been so impressive it’s hard not to back them at the moment. Recent xG performances have been 2.22, 2.70, 1.61, 1.49, 3.34, 2.26, 3.38, 2.56, 2.86, 2.76, 2.01 and 3.91. Since losing to Atletico Madrid they have really hit form going forward, and Real Betis give away enough chances that Barcelona will outscore them here. I would have them closer to 1.45 rather than 1.56.
