SUNDAY IN EUROPE: Our European football tipster The Ultra previews Sunday’s games between STUTTGART v WERDER BREMEN, UNION BERLIN v HERTHA BERLIN and SEVILLA v ATLETICO MADRID all with a recommended BETDAQ bet.

STUTTGART V WERDER BREMEN

2.30pm I’m starting to love Sunday’s in Europe! With the busy schedule this season and Champions League midweek games, all the major sides tend to play on Saturday but that gives us a lot of very competitive betting heats on BETDAQ Betting Exchange every Sunday! This Sunday is no different, and while all eyes will be on Sevilla v Atletico Madrid in La Liga later, we start the day with two interesting games in the Bundesliga. We start the afternoon with Stuttgart taking on Werder Bremen, although there is only six points between these two in the Bundesliga table, Stuttgart have been playing much better football than Werder Bremen this season.

Both sides have played Bayern Munich recently, they would have been expected to lose those games, but Werder Bremen conceded a bigger xG. Stuttgart has been unbeaten before that game against Bayern, even grinding out an away draw with Frankfurt who have been playing well this season, although in fairness Werder Bremen were able to beat Frankfurt recently. Werder Bremen have been very lucky to times though, for example they beat Arminia Bielefeld who sit towards the bottom of the table 2-0 but they conceded an xG of 3.11. I think this will be one way traffic for Stuttgart and the 1.94 is too big to ignore.

The Ultra Says:
Three points win Stuttgart to beat Werder Bremen at 1.94 with BETDAQ Betting Exchange

UNION BERLIN V HERTHA BERLIN

5pm Next up we have the Berlin Derby. I fancy another home win here in the Bundesliga today, and the 2.48 on Union Berlin looks incredible value. This season has been a different story for both sides, with Union have an impressive season and Hertha not out of a relegation battle towards the bottom of the table. With Mainz winning some games recently and catching up with Hertha, they are now in big danger of dropping into the bottom three – they started the weekend only one point outside the bottom three! They picked up a massive, although undeserved, 3-0 win against Bayer Leverkusen prior to the International break, and that was a huge boost.

Union have been involved in some close games recently, and I can understand why some football traders want to be against them here as you can expect another close Derby here – but for me Hertha simply give away too many chances for Union not to take advantage. Union might be happy with their season sitting in 7th at the start of the weekend, but the xG table actually puts them into 5th. They have been playing some solid football this season, and Hertha have been pretty average. I know this Derby is always a big and cagey game, but the 2.48 is far too big in my opinion and it’s worth a confident bet.

Four points win Union Berlin to beat Hertha Berlin at 2.48 with BETDAQ Betting Exchange

SEVILLA V ATLETICO MADRID

8pm It’s games like this that are made for Sunday evenings on the couch in front of the TV! An absolutely massive affair in La Liga, and Real Madrid and Barcelona will be glued to their TV screens. This will be a very tough game for Atletico, and you’d have to say there is a decent chance that they drop points. The market suggests that too, with Atletico trading 2.88 to win. Sevilla have been solid this season, but you wouldn’t say that they are having a wonderful season. They are certainly there for the taking if Atletico play well. They started the weekend four points ahead of Barcelona, who play tomorrow night. They will be more worried about Barcelona now as Real Madrid started the weekend six points behind. Who would have thought Barcelona could be the ones to catch Atletico after the start they had!

While Atletico have pretty much bossed the top of the La Liga table this season, they have slipped up a few times. They were outplayed against Chelsea in the Champions League recently, but most of the times they have dropped points in La Liga they have been unlucky. For example, they drew 0-0 with Getafe but created an xG of 1.82. In their 2-0 loss to Levante they created an xG of 2.84 in a game they should have won. Their performances have been impressive for the most part and they already beat Sevilla 2-0 this season but that was a rare time Atletico were lucky to win. Sevilla are a “rock solid” side – I feel that’s the best way to describe them, and I expect a very close game here. The draw is too tempting at 3.1 to get away from, as Atletico won’t mind a draw here and move onto easier fixtures with Barcelona having to play Real Madrid next weekend too. This might be a game for small stakes from a betting point of view, but what a fascinating game to enjoy!
