SUNDAY IN EUROPE: The Ultra previews Sunday’s top games between HERTHA BERLIN v STUTTGART, LAZIO v AC MILAN and BARCELONA v RAYO VALLECANO all including a recommended BETDAQ bet.

HERTHA BERLIN V STUTTGART

4.30pm We have another fascinating day around Europe on BETDAQ Betting Exchange with action from the Bundesliga, Serie A and La Liga! We have huge games at the bottom and the top of tables today, and we start in the Bundesliga with a huge relegation battle. At the start of the weekend, there’s a little gap to Augsburg sitting in 14th so there does look like a bottom four at the moment. Obviously the winner here would be within reach of Augsburg, but that would also leave the losing in the bottom three a little out of touch. Stuttgart started the weekend sitting in the relegation playoff spot, but they are just one point behind Hertha Berlin. Both sides have played the same amount of games so there’s no games in hand to worry about. There’s no doubt that this will be a very cagey and tense affair – but it’s worth noting that Hertha Berlin had this pressure last season before winning their games in hand and shooting up the table. The win over Augsburg last weekend was massive for Hertha Berlin – and another win here would really leave them in the driving seat to stay up.

I was surprised when I clicked into the market to see Stuttgart trading as favourites. I know they have been trading a little shorter than they should this season based on their performances, but I didn’t expect to see them as favourites at 2.46. They are a top club, probably “too good to go down” if you want to use that old phrase, but you can’t get away from their poor performances this season. They have conceded close to two goals per game this season in the Bundesliga, and their away performances have been bang average this season too. They only have ten points from 15 away games, and I fully accept the fact that Hertha Berlin have been poor at home this season too, but I would have the market very open here with both sides almost trading the same price. The Stuttgart lay jumps off the page at 2.46 given their performances this season, and I would be surprised to see them claim three points here – having the Hertha Berlin win and draw on our side is a nice position.

The Ultra Says:
Three points lay (liability) Stuttgart to beat Hertha Berlin at 2.46 with BETDAQ BETTING EXCHANGE.

LAZIO V AC MILAN

7.45pm We move over to Serie A next as Lazio host AC Milan. This should be a cracking fixture, and it’s the highlight of the day in my opinion. We’ve seen some top class games from Serie A this season, and it’s been quite a dramatic title race too. It looks like it will go right down to the final day(s) of the season and this is another must win game for AC Milan. We’re at that stage now when every game is must win! Lazio have been pretty good this season; they are locked in a battle for 5th spot with Roma and Fiorentina – there’s a much difference between 5th and 7th – and that battle looks like it’s going to go right down to the wire too. This should be a good game, and it will have a big impact on both sides position in the table. AC Milan enjoyed a two point gap at the top of the table at the start of the weekend, but Inter Milan have a game in hand so AC Milan can’t afford to slip up anywhere. They would have been happy to see Napoli drop points last weekend, and that moves the title closer to a straight shoot-out between the sides in Milan. Lazio come into this game in good form, apart from a 3-0 loss to Roma they have been playing some nice football. This is going to be a tough test for AC Milan, and I’m sure there will be some big opinions on the AC Milan price at 2.54.

It’s no surprise that we have a very open market here. Given the form Lazio bring into the game, the AC Milan lay is going to be popular. They are under pressure too given Inter Milan record a big win yesterday against Roma in another tricky tie. AC Milan have been top class away from home this season however, they actually have a better record than Inter Milan away – they are only topped by Napoli in the away table. Lazio have been rock solid at home though, and they haven’t been giving away many chances lately either. The thing about Lazio this season though is that they have been over-performing. They have scored two goals per game in Serie A, but that is way above their xG of 1.5. Eventually the chances will stop going their way but AC Milan have also scored more goals than they should. I’m going to stay away from the match odds market here and as I feel this will be a very close and cagey game, under 2.5 goals is worth an investment at 2.02. AC Milan have been rock solid at the back this season, and they will likely have cagey tactics here too and open up in the second half – I wouldn’t be surprised to see a 0-0 if Lazio go into the game negatively.

The Ultra Says:
Two points win Under 2.5 goals at 2.02 with BETDAQ BETTING EXCHANGE.

BARCELONA V RAYO VALLECANO

8pm We go over to La Liga to finish the day as Barcelona host Rayo Vallecano. This is actually the only La Liga fixture this weekend as the Copa del Rey took the limelight last night! We had a lot of midweek action, and Barcelona recorded a big 1-0 win over Real Sociedad to get them back on track after getting knocked out of the Europa League and then losing to Cadiz at home in two strange performances. I said the jury was out a little on Xavi again going into the Sociedad game given it was his first mini-crisis if you could call it that, but they played very well midweek and deserved to win. Rayo Vallecano also recorded a 1-0 win away from home midweek, they edged out Espanyol in a tight game and that was a big result for them given their run of form lately. They had gone 13 games without a win in La Liga prior to Thursday night after the wheels pretty much came off their season after a very strong start. Surely that will do wonders for their confidence! Like I said it was a very close game, but they battled hard and grinded it out – there is a gulf in class between the sides here, but at least Rayo Vallecano might have more confidence to attack tonight.

The market is very confident on a Barcelona win here, with the home side trading as short as 1.33 at the time of writing. That’s understandable given the run of form from Rayo Vallecano over the last few months but I wouldn’t be rushing to include Barcelona in your BETDAQ Multiple today. I’d be happy to just watch rather than pay to find out at odds of 1.33 – that feels a little short given their performance here against Cadiz. I know they bounced back well against Real Sociedad, but I’d just want to see them put in an impressive display here and beat an average side like Rayo Vallecano before feeling confident on them again. Like I have been saying this season, backing Barcelona is all about trying to pick the right moments, and the 1.33 definitely feels like an option to pass on. Although Rayo Vallecano put such a long run without a win together, they have started to show signs that they are coming back into form. They have finished with a high xG figure in five of their last six games so they are creating chances. This is a game for small stakes given the Barcelona price, but I feel Rayo Vallecano can get on the score sheet here. Both Teams To Score is 2.0 and given Barcelona have been a little lacklustre over the last week or so I’m happy to have a small bet on that.

The Ultra Says:
One point win Both Teams To Score at 2.0 with BETDAQ BETTING EXCHANGE.
