SUNDAY IN EUROPE: The Ultra previews the top games of the day all with a recommended BETDAQ bet.

SEVILLA V ALMERIA

3.15pm We have a fascinating Sunday around Europe on BETDAQ Betting Exchange. We have some cracking games from La Liga and Serie A to enjoy, and we start the day with a huge relegation battle in La Liga as Sevilla host Almeria. I don’t think anyone would have believed you if you told them this would be a relegation battle at the start of the season! The drop in form from Sevilla this season has been remarkable, they’ve gone from a top four banker to sitting just outside the bottom three heading into this weekend. Almeria are sitting just behind them, but that’s only on goal difference because the sides have the same amount of points. Throw Valencia into the mix too and you surely have to say Sevilla are in trouble this season. They’ve been hanging around the relegation zone all season and we all just thought they’d move away soon, but it’s been 24 games now and they are still bang in trouble! They managed a win on Thursday night in the Europa League, but they have shipped nine goals in their last two La Liga games. They’ve had issues at the back all season, and they’ve conceded an average xG of 1.8. They are a shadow of the club from last season! You could have even included them in the title race last season!

Despite all their issues, Sevilla come into the game trading as the odds on favourites. They are 1.74 at the time of writing – understandable given how poor Almeria have been away from home this season. Almeria have only managed three points away from home all season which is an incredibly low return, even Elche who are nailed to the bottom of the table have double that! For as bad as Sevilla have been this year, Almeria have been worse. They have even bigger issues at the back – they are conceding an average xG of 2.1 this season. This is definitely a game to keep stakes low in – we have two sides here who have been playing bad football all season, but I feel it’s worth taking the 1.74 on Sevilla. Almeria have been conceding a host of chances this season and how can you get away from that away record. Sevilla absolutely need to win this game, otherwise maybe we can finally worry about them actually getting relegated!

The Ultra Says:
Two points win Sevilla to beat Almeria at 1.74 with BETDAQ BETTING EXCHANGE.

ROMA V SASSUOLO

5pm We move over to Serie A as Jose Mourinho’s Roma take on Sassuolo. It’s been a fantastic week for Roma – they managed a 1-0 win over Juventus last weekend before winning 2-0 against Real Sociedad in the Europa League on Thursday night. Despite being away from home in the second leg, you’d have to feel that they have one foot in the Quarter-Final now. The home support has been incredible in the last two games, I know it’s always good but it has definitely gone to the next level. Jose Mourinho is working that Jose Mourinho magic at the moment – he has the players playing their hearts out for him and the fans right behind him and the team. Of course, we’ve all seen this happen before only for it to end in tears, but for the time being it’s fantastic to watch. Sassuolo will be a good test for Roma here – they have won four of their last six games with only Napoli beating them in that run. They’ve recorded wins against AC Milan and Atalanta in that run too, with the AC Milan win coming away from home too. Their xG figures are a fair reflection of their position and the type of side they are – they basically have to grind out their wins in a hard fought manner. They don’t have the talent to just blow sides away.

Roma come into the game as the odds on favourites at 1.78. They have been playing excellent football this season, and I’m sure they will be a popular bet this weekend. Their average xG created is 1.7 while they have been rock solid at the back too. Their average xG conceded is only 0.7 which is one of the lowest figures around Europe to be honest. Sassuolo are quite limited going forward, but you have to respect the fact that they do arrive into this game in good form. I was tempted by Both Teams Not To Score at 1.87 because I feel Roma can keep a clean sheet here, but I’m going to opt for Under 2.5 goals at 1.84. Sassuolo are going to play for a draw here, and I can’t see Roma running wild with plenty of goals. Under 2.5 goals is a little bigger than the Roma win which feels nice value. Not a game to have a large stake on, but I see Roma grinding to a win in a low scoring game.

The Ultra Says:
Two points win Under 2.5 goals at 1.84 with BETDAQ BETTING EXCHANGE.

ATHLETIC BILBAO V BARCELONA

8pm We move back to La Liga to finish the day as Athletic Bilbao host Barcelona. It was another good weekend for Barcelona last weekend as they extended their lead at the top of the table to nine points as Real Madrid dropped points again. We have El Clasico coming up next weekend, and Barcelona have home advantage in that too, but you’d have to lean towards the title race being close to over. Even if Real win El Clasico, it’s hard to see them catching Barcelona with a six point lead even after the El Clasico win. If Barcelona win here and then win El Clasico too, well then the title race is over. It’s important for Barcelona not to drop points in this game. Bilbao is usually a tough place to come, but Barcelona have an excellent record against Bilbao. They have won six of the last seven meetings in all competitions, and three of the last four meetings have ended with a 4-0 win to Barcelona! Any Other Away Win is trading around 20.0 in the Correct Score market if you fancy that result again! Barcelona aren’t trading odds on in the match odds market, they are 2.26 at the time of writing which is a tempting bet given the way they have played this season.

Their average xG created this season is a very high 2.4, and they have been rock solid at the back too – their actual goals conceded works out at only 0.3 and their average xG conceded is under 1.0 too. Athletic Bilbao have been solid at the back too, and I feel that’s why we see Barcelona trading at 2.26. While the 2.26 is a tempting bet on Barcelona, I feel they’ll have to grind out a win here rather than blowing Bilbao away. Bilbao have been playing good football recently, and while I do like the Barcelona bet at 2.26 and couldn’t put anyone off that. Under 2.5 goals looks a stand out bet here at 1.81 – as I said above, both sides are rock solid at the back and Bilbao have been strong at home too. Barcelona are usually involved in high scoring games, but their last four La Liga games have had Under 2.5 goals and I feel they will make that five in a row here. This game screams a tense and close affair, perhaps a 1-0 Barcelona win in the end, but the 1.81 on Under 2.5 goals looks cracking value.

The Ultra Says:
Three points win Under 2.5 goals at 1.81 with BETDAQ BETTING EXCHANGE.
