WORLD CUP QUALIFIER and NATIONS LEAGUE: The Ultra previews Sunday’s matches between WALES v UKRAINE and CZECH REPUBLIC v SPAIN both with a recommended BETDAQ bet.

WALES V UKRAINE

5pm International Sunday’s don’t get much better than this! We have plenty of Nations League action, but the highlight on BETDAQ Betting Exchange is undoubtedly the World Cup Playoff between Wales and Ukraine. It’s fair to say the neutral football fan will be shouting for Ukraine here after all they are going through at home, and it must be difficult for both sets of players. Scotland spoke well before their Semi-Final with Ukraine about just focusing on the game when they cross the white line, but they just didn’t deliver the performance. Ukraine are playing for more than just football at the moment, and that does have a big impact when it comes to sport. That being said, Wales at home is always an incredible atmosphere, and this is bound to be just one of those special occasions. As you would expect, we have a very open market. Wales are the favourites given they have home advantage, but there isn’t much in it. The match odds at the time of writing currently trade; Wales 2.8, Ukraine 2.94 and the draw is 3.15. Obviously the win for Ukraine over Scotland on Wednesday was a very emotional night, and this will be no different. The Scottish fans even sang the Ukrainian national anthem before kick off! It’s hard to see anything other than a very close game here, and you’d imagine this will be a very cagey affair.

Ukraine created a decent amount of chances against Scotland, but Wales a step up and for the most part Wales have focused on being solid at the back in recent times. Apart from a 5-1 win over Belarus in World Cup qualifying, who finished last in their Group, the other three home games for Wales had under 2.5 goals. It was more or less the same story in their Nations League campaign too. They topped their Group, with five of their six games having under 2.5 goals. I couldn’t put anyone off the draw here, and obviously it is difficult to know what type of performance we’ll get from Ukraine here. Wednesday was an incredible night, but it might have drained them emotionally too. Nevertheless, I can only see a very close game here. I couldn’t put anyone off the draw at 3.15 but under 2.5 goals looks great value at 1.65. I felt we’d see it trading close to 1.5 here given the stats heading into the game. Wales won’t want an open game here, and their plan will be to grind out a 1-0 win – they have shown they are rock solid at the back over the last while, and I don’t see that changing.

The Ultra Says:
Two points win Under 2.5 goals at 1.65 with BETDAQ BETTING EXCHANGE.

CZECH REPUBLIC V SPAIN

7.45pm Undoubtedly all eyes will be on the World Cup Qualifier today, but after that game ends we have some nice action in the Nations League highlighted by the Czech Republic hosting Spain. Czech Republic started their campaign with a bang on Thursday night as they managed a 2-1 win over Switzerland. That was a fantastic result, and although nobody expects them to top a Group involving Spain and Portugal, it definitely gives them a fighting chance anyway. How they perform here with home advantage will likely decide how close they will actually get to fighting for top spot, and we should have an interesting game ahead. Spain opened their Nations League campaign with a 1-1 draw at home to Portugal on Thursday, they lead for a lot of the game but lost the lead in the final ten minutes. The performance from Spain was a little disjointed, but perhaps that was because Portugal changed things at the break when 1-0. Those changes definitely worked because Portugal were the better side in the second half, and a draw was probably a fair result in the end given Spain were on top for the first half. It was nice to land our bet on under 2.5 goals, and given the likely negative tactics here from Czech Republic as they aim to try and get a result, we could see unders land again here.

Spain come into this game as the odds on favourites, but I’m sure there will be plenty of layers at around the 1.76 mark. Luis Enrique said that Spain had “good spells and bad spells” what percentage of good spells will we get tonight? Czech Republic battled very hard on Thursday night to get a positive result, and I can see them making Spain work very hard here. I feel that the 1.76 is on the short side, just as I felt when they played Portugal, I just expect another closer game than the odds suggest. However, there is more value on offer in the goals market here. Under 2.5 goals is trading 1.83 and that stands out as the best bet here. Spain didn’t create a huge amount over the 90 minutes against Portugal, obviously they step down in grade here but Czech Republic will be very cagey and quite negative here. Once again I expect a hard fought game for Spain, and under 2.5 goals to land. Czech Republic really got the tactics right against Switzerland, and I expect them to be very well prepared again!

The Ultra Says:
Two points win Under 2.5 goals at 1.83 with BETDAQ BETTING EXCHANGE.
