EUROPA LEAGUE: Our European football tipster The Ultra previews Thursday’s Europa League quarter final games between ARSENAL v SLAVIA PRAGUE and GRANADA v MANCHESTER UNITED both with a recommended BETDAQ bet.

ARSENAL V SLAVIA PRAGUE

8pm After some fantastic Champions League Quarter Finals, we have the Europa League Quarter Finals to enjoy on Thursday! It should be a very busy nighton BETDAQ Betting Exchange, but I’m going to focus on the two games involving the Premier League sides. I don’t think it’s too much of a stretch to say Arsenal and Man United got the easiest ties, and I think the market reflects that. British football fans should know Slavia Prague well now after knocking out Leicester and Rangers on the way here. They didn’t exactly boss those games and they didn’t really impress me – but they did grind out wins in very close games and we all know Arsenal struggle a little under pressure.

I wouldn’t write off Slavia Prague, but Arsenal should really be winning here. Because of the domestic league Slavia Prague play in, unfortunately we don’t have xG figures and can only focus on the Europa League. That means we have a small sample size, but they have largely unimpressive figures going forward. They don’t usually create more than an xG of over 1 per game. To their credit, they do keep games pretty tight and that will be their aim here. I know Arsenal were hammered by Liverpool at the weekend, but Liverpool put in an excellent performance and Arsenal had been playing their best football of the season prior to that. With a lack of a big sample size, I’m keen to keep stakes reasonably small here but that being said, I can’t see past Arsenal here and the 1.58 looks good value.

The Ultra Says:
Two points win Arsenal to beat Slavia Prague at 1.58 on BETDAQ Betting Exchange

GRANADA V MANCHESTER UNITED

8pm Things got very interesting in La Liga at the weekend, but not for Granada who sit in mid-table with nowhere to go. Their focus can be fully on the Europa League and when you look at their recent form, you feel they have to win tonight to have any chance. They tend to give away a lot of chances away from home, although that being said they conceded an xG of 3.51 here at the weekend against Villarreal. United have been flattered at times this season the ways things have gone for them – they were never really title challengers but they sat top of the Premier League for a while and they have thrown in the odd poor performance. They are clear favourites for this competition, but you feel they will have one really poor performance in them – the question is when will that come, and can they get away with it?

It was a huge positive to see them grind out a 1-0 away win to AC Milan in a close game in the last round – however it must be said that game came at a good time for United as AC Milan had been in very poor form. Granada are a very average side, and United should really beat them – but I wouldn’t fancy backing United at 1.65 away from home. Granada made hard work of beating Molde who are a poor side and they should give United chances tonight, but I’m happier to back over 2.5 goals at 2.06 rather than United at 1.65. Granada concede a lot of chances, but United have made plenty of mistakes this season too. I can see United blowing away Granada at home in the second leg, but this leg might be more difficult than the odds reflect.

The Ultra Says:
One point win Over 2.5 goals at 2.06 on BETDAQ Betting Exchange
