THURSDAY LA LIGA: The Ultra previews Thursday’s games between REAL SOCIEDAD V CADIZ and REAL MADRID V LEVANTE both including a recommended BETDAQ bet.

REAL SOCIEDAD V CADIZ

6pm It’s been a fantastic week in La Liga this week, and we finish off the midweek fixtures with two very interesting markets on BETDAQ Betting Exchange. It could be a massive night in the relegation battle with Cadiz and Levante both in action, but they have two very tough fixtures as they meet Real Sociedad and Real Madrid away from home. We haven’t had a title race in Spain this season because Real Madrid have been so far ahead of the others, but the relegation battle has been dramatic. We start the evening with Real Sociedad hosting Cadiz, and there will be plenty of layers of Real Sociedad at odds on here. They have been locked in a battle for Real Betis for that fifth spot for a while now, but they come into this fixture without a win in four – they are lucky Real Betis won the Copa Del Rey and there will be an extra European spot this year! Sociedad had to play Barcelona and Real Betis in that run, but they lost to Levante at the weekend and could only draw with Rayo Vallecano in a poor performance. They aren’t playing their best football at the moment, and Cadiz fans can be confident of an upset here. Cadiz record a massive win at the weekend over Elche and that meant they started the midweek round of fixtures three points ahead of Mallorca – given their goal difference is so good too they have put themselves in a strong position now and just need to close now the season.

Mallorca finish the season with a home game against Rayo Vallecano and then they are away to Osasuna on the final day, while Cadiz have to play Real Madrid at the weekend and then they will face Alaves in what could be a huge relegation battle on the final day. The positive news for Cadiz is that they are playing their best football of the season. They completely bossed the game against Elche at the weekend, deserved their 1-1 draw with Sevilla and they were very unlucky to lose against Athletic Bilbao finishing that game with an xG of 3.62. They shocked Barcelona away from home too, and you could say that they didn’t deserve to lose against Real Betis either. Cadiz have a huge amount in their favour heading into this game and I feel it’s a good time to support them. We have landed some nice bets on them over the last few weeks looking at their xG figures, and I’m happy to lay Real Sociedad here at 1.71. I fully expect Cadiz to make the game closer than those odds suggest – Real Sociedad aren’t exactly firing at the moment either so it’s a good time to be on Cadiz.

The Ultra Says:
Three points lay (liability) Real Sociedad to beat Cadiz at 1.71 with BETDAQ BETTING EXCHANGE.

REAL MADRID V LEVANTE

8.30pm We finish the evening with another interesting market as Real Madrid host Levante. Real Madrid already have the La Liga title locked in and I’m sure all their focus at the moment is on the Champions League Final in a few weeks. They have been incredibly entertaining in the Champions League this season, but they simply can’t afford to be so open and give away the chances they have been against Liverpool. They will need to get the tactics right, and as we saw the other night with Spurs against Liverpool, you can have success when you make things negative and cagey. I was worried about Real’s mindset last weekend against Atletico Madrid but I still took a chance laying Atletico – I feel it’s probably wise now to avoid getting on Real Madrid for the three games left because they will be building everything towards that Champions League Final. This gives Levante an excellent opportunity as even a point here would be a fantastic result. Obviously this is a very difficult fixture and Levante are under immense pressure sitting in the bottom three, but they finish the season with games against Alaves and Rayo Vallecano. They can win both of those fixtures – I know they have given themselves a lot of work to do but there’s still a chance they can stay up. They will also want/need to see Cadiz lose earlier in the evening.

It’s unfortunate that Levante are even in this position. Their results haven’t been deserved this season and they would be one of the most unlucky sides to get relegated in years in La Liga. The xG table puts them up into 11th! This season just goes to show what happens when you start slowly – it’s so difficult to win back momentum. They have turned things around though and started picking up wins because they were getting detached, and much like Cadiz above they are probably playing their best football of the season now. They have created xG figures like 2.35, 2.41, 2.92, 4.68, 3.46 and 1.72 recently which is incredible. They were very unlucky to lose against Barcelona and Sevilla; although understandable. I’m going to keep stakes low here because there’s no getting away from the gulf in class here, but Real Madrid have nothing to play for and Levante are in superb form. When you look at those xG figures you can’t help but be impressed, and they can put Real under pressure here and make the 1.5 look very short.

The Ultra Says:
Two points lay (liability) Real Madrid to beat Levante at 1.5 with BETDAQ BETTING EXCHANGE.
