THURSDAY IN EUROPE: Our football tipster The Ultra previews Thursday’s Copa Del Rey game between REAL BETIS v RAYO VALLECANO with a recommended BETDAQ bet.

8pm We only have one fixture in Europe on Thursday on BETDAQ Betting Exchange but it’s a cracker as Real Betis host Rayo Vallecano in the second Semi-Final of the Copa Del Rey. Real Betis have a fantastic chance to reach a major final here, and they could end the season in La Liga with Champions League football too. They are currently holding onto third under immense pressure with Barcelona and Atletico Madrid trying to chase them down. They lead 2-1 after the first leg, and you have to say this is an ideal time to play Rayo Vallecano who are woefully out of form.

It was nice to land a Max Bet against Rayo Vallecano at the weekend with Real Madrid landing the money at 1.7, and although Real Betis won’t be a Max Bet here because of the situation, they are still worth backing at 1.78 to outclass this Rayo Vallecano side. The only reason I am holding back on the staking is the fact that Real Betis don’t “need to win” as they take a lead into this tie. Given the amount of chances Rayo Vallecano have been conceding lately however, it’s hard to see how they can stop this fantastic Real Betis side.

Real Betis had their first major setback at the weekend with a 2-1 loss away to Sevilla, that does put them under a lot of pressure in the top four race. They only have a one point cushion over Barcelona and Atletico Madrid now, and Barcelona have a game in hand. They were always going to come under immense pressure when trying to get a Champions League spot, and you can’t knock them for being in the mix – they are having a fantastic season and even if they finish fifth it will be a massive achievement. Let’s not forget that they finished in 15th in the 2019/20 season – I know we’ve all aged since then given the troubles around the world but it’s been incredible progress from Real Betis.

Rayo Vallecano also started the season in red-hot form, carrying over their good momentum from the Segunda Playoffs. They hit a wall a while ago however, and they have fallen down to the bottom half of the table now after dreaming about a possible European spot at one stage. They have lost their last five La Liga games, and they’ve only managed one win in their last nine La Liga games too. These sides actually met in La Liga in early January when a 1-1 draw was a fair result. Betis took the advantage in the first leg and now with home advantage they have a massive chance of winning here. I feel this fixture just lands at an ideal time for Betis – you can see Ray Vallecano aren’t playing well when you look at their xG figures and 1.78 is too big to ignore.

The Ultra Says:
Three points win Real Betis to beat Rayo Vallecano at 1.78 with BETDAQ BETTING EXCHANGE.
