SERIE A THURSDAY: Our football tipster The Ultra previews Thursday’s Serie A games between BOLOGNA v INTER MILAN, AC MILAN v ROMA, JUVENTUS v NAPOLI all with a recommended BETDAQ bet.

BOLOGNA V INTER MILAN

11.30am Serie A returns with a bang on Thursday! We have a full fixture list right throughout the day, and there’s plenty of prices to debate on BETDAQ Betting Exchange!. We start early in the day with Bologna hosting Inter Milan. A lot has happened since Inter Milan went on their Christmas break, and they have spent a lot of time in the UK media recently with the comments of Lukaku at Chelsea basically saying he loves Inter. Apparently he has apologised to Chelsea since, but lord knows what their fans make of the situation. Inter fans will definitely see the funny side, as does everyone else who isn’t a Chelsea fan, and perhaps there will be a bid from Inter either in January or summer – who knows! Inter currently have a four point lead at the top of Serie A and they will be hoping to continue their good run into 2022.

Inter finished 2021 very strongly, and although they were helped by Inter Milan and Napoli dropping points along the way, they are creating plenty of chances at the moment. Bologna are your classic mid-table Serie A side – indeed you have to go all the way back to 2017/18 to see them out of the 10th to 12th slot in the table. They are generally hold their own against other mid-table sides and beat the average sides, but they do struggle against the bigger sides. They lost here to Juventus in the run up to Christmas, but they did beat Roma here at the start of December. Roma aren’t quite a top four side though in fairness, and with the volume of chances Inter are creating at the moment this should be one way traffic. In their last six games we have saw a lot of goals from Inter, and the 1.56 is worth taking on the away win to start the day!

The Ultra Says:
Three points win Inter Milan to beat Bologna at 1.56 with BETDAQ Betting Exchange!

AC MILAN V ROMA

5.30pm We have two absolute crackers to finish the evening. Juventus v Napoli is a great way to finish the day, but AC Milan v Roma a little earlier is going to be a fascinating game. It’s never dull with Jose Mourinho at your club, and Roma are definitely on that rollercoaster at the moment! Jose has been trying to make it him against the media in recent weeks, and that is a dangerous game – the media will pile the pressure on him after every loss. Roma are currently doing OK sitting in 6th place, and they aren’t quite out of the top four race yet. You feel that they need to win this game though to have any chance, and they also have to worry about Juventus in 5th two points ahead of them. With Juventus playing Napoli later, a win for Roma and a loss for Juventus would be a fantastic day for Roma. AC Milan got back to winning ways in their final game before Christmas, but they lost some massive games in December.

The 1-0 loss to Napoli would have hurt, and their loss to Liverpool in the Champions League at home was a massive setback too. They were also lucky to pick up a draw away to Udinese, conceding an xG of 2.20 in a 1-1 draw. Although they didn’t quite deserve it, Roma pretty much shocked everyone with a 4-1 win away to Atalanta before Christmas. Atalanta had been playing well too, and Roma had just got back to winning ways against Spezia. It was disappointing that they couldn’t follow that up against Sampdoria, but the AC Milan lay is still tempting here at 2.08. I expect Roma to make the game closer than those odds suggest, however it won’t be my best bet. Over 2.5 goals jumps off the page here at 1.77. Both sides like to play an open game, and neither are solid at the back. Roma have had some crazy end-to-end games this season while AC Milan have been scoring and conceding in their games. These two look made to gel together and score lots of goals.

The Ultra Says:
Three points win Over 2.5 goals at 1.77 with BETDAQ Betting Exchange!

JUVENTUS V NAPOLI

7.45pm We finish the day with the highlight fixture of today as Juventus host Napoli. You only have to look at the table to see how important this fixture is for both sides. After sitting top of Serie A for so long, a slip in form has saw Napoli slip down past Inter and AC Milan, and now they have to fight to keep their place in the top four with Juventus and Roma coming for them. At the moment, they have a five point advantage over Juventus with Atalanta sitting in between them. You can see how important this fixture is – if Napoli win then the gap is comfortable again and if Juventus win, you’d probably fancy Juventus to close the two point gap and catch Napoli. Obviously we all know how many issues Juventus had at the start of the season, they really missed the goals from Ronaldo – despite everyone saying he was too much trouble. They have found their rhythm in the lead up to Christmas, and they are back in top four contention from sitting in mid-table.

I know the recent games from Juventus have come up against some average opposition, but they have been creating xG figures like 1.90, 1.75, 2.15, 2.93 and 2.29 recently. They did lose 1-0 to Atalanta at home though, and only created an xG of 0.71. Napoli were able to grind out a very close game to beat AC Milan 1-0 away from home, and they also played OK away to Inter Milan. They lost 1-0 twice at home before Christmas, but they were desperately unlucky – they lost 1-0 to Spezia but created an xG of 1.76 and then again to Empoli but created an xG of 1.71. That was just an unlucky run to really knocked their title hopes, or at least staying in the race for a while longer. I expect a high quality game here and I respect the fact that Juventus have improved in the run up to Christmas – however Napoli have played some good football this season and their recent losses were unlucky. For that reason, I feel the value play here is the Juventus lay at 2.06. I fully expect Napoli to make life very difficult for Juve here and make 2.06 look too short.

The Ultra Says:
Three points lay (liability) Juventus to beat Napoli at 2.06 with BETDAQ Betting Exchange!
