COPPA ITALIA: Our football tipster The Ultra previews Tuesday’s semi-final between AC MILAN v INTER MILAN with a recommended BETDAQ bet.

AC MILAN V INTER MILAN

8pm We kick off March in Europe in style on BETDAQ Betting Exchange with a Milan Derby in the Semi-Final of the Coppa Italia. This is going to be a fascinating tie over the two legs, and you have to say it comes at an odd time for both clubs as they are both struggling at the top of Serie A. They have given Napoli an excellent chance to get back into the mix, and whether or not they are good enough to take advantage is another question. Just when it looked like Inter might take over at the top of the table and go away from the rest, they have only managed one win in their last six!

Over the course of those six games, you couldn’t say that Inter Milan have been unlucky – they have had the ups and downs of football. For example they should have beaten Sassuolo but should have lost to Napoli. When you look at their recent xG figures, you can clearly see that they aren’t playing good football at the moment. Something is missing, and they need a spark to get back to themselves. This could work a treat though, an intense fixture in a Cup tie. Inter do have to worry about the Champions League too however as they are 2-0 down to Liverpool with that second leg next week.

The sides met very recently in Serie A when AC Milan came out on top with a very close affair. That blew the title race wide open. Think back to last season, AC Milan started really fast but once they were joined by Inter they fell apart and Inter finished the season very strongly. That hasn’t happened this season though – when Inter joined them this time they have hit this run. This might be a cagey affair given it’s a first leg, neither side will want to open up too quickly especially when home advantage doesn’t really count between these two.

Inter are rightly favourites in my view but they do feel too short at 2.38. As I said above, they haven’t been firing recently and this is going to be hard work. The thing here is, and probably the most important thing, is that AC Milan aren’t exactly setting the work on fire either. They have drawn their last two, and very similar to Inter they aren’t creating a lot of chances. Their recent xG figures read 0.96, 1.15, 1.50, 1.05 and 0.67. Those figures put me off the Inter lay, but it does look the best option in the match odds market.

The best option here is under 2.5 goals at 2.08 in my view. I was surprised to see it trading odds against when I clicked into the market. I feel everything lines up here for a very quiet game. Neither side are creating a lot in front of goal, it’s a first leg and could be very cagey plus all Milan Derbies are tense affairs. I’d have unders odds on, and although I do feel Inter should be bigger, it’s hard to see past under 2.5 goals at the odds.

The Ultra Says:
Three points win Under 2.5 goals at 2.08 with BETDAQ BETTING EXCHANGE.
