LA LIGA PREVIEW: Our European football tipster The Ultra previews Tuesday’s La Liga games between SEVILLA v VILLARREAL and BARCELONA v EIBAR both with a recommended BETDAQ bet.

SEVILLA V VILLARREAL

4pm La Liga returns after their mini Christmas break and we have a cracker to start back! Sevilla host Villarreal in a 4th v 6th clash between two rock solid sides. Unai Emery must be delighted with how things have turned out for him – he has Villarreal playing excellent football and Arsenal are an embarrassment in the Premier League. Barcelona are the only side to have managed to beat Villarreal in La Liga this season and I feel Sevilla are too short here at 2.14. Unlike Villarreal, Sevilla have had some surprising results already this season – they’ve lost to Athletic Bilbao, Eibar and Granada along with Real Madrid.

I look at this fixture and just see a very close game. Neither side play a huge attacking brand of football, so I wouldn’t be surprised at all to see a cagey start and 0-0 at the break. Under 2.5 goals is certainly of interest here too – that’s around 1.7 though and I think that’s a pretty fair price. I don’t think you’ll find a better value bet on this game on BETDAQ Betting Exchange than laying Sevilla at 2.14. Villarreal are having an impressive season, and while I fully take on board they have had too many draws lately – a draw will work here with the Sevilla lay.

The Ultra Says:
Three points lay (liability) Sevilla to beat Villarreal at 2.14 on BETDAQ Betting Exchange

BARCELONA V EIBAR

6.15pm Barcelona are a rare Max Bet for me here at 1.4. We landed a nice bet on them to beat Real Valladolid at similar odds before the Christmas break and I just can’t see why they are as big as 1.4 here. I fully take on board that they haven’t been at their best this season and there is clearly an ongoing problem with Messi in the dressing room. However, I just look at fixtures like this and ask just how far below their best do Barcelona have to be not to beat a side like Eibar. They easily beat Real Valladolid before Christmas and they sit right beside Eibar in La Liga.

Eibar sit just one position above the relegation zone and the 1.4 on Barcelona with home advantage is simply too big. I look around the side markets and think there just isn’t anything to come close. I know these type of prices aren’t for everyone – but I’d have Barcelona around 1.25 to 1.27 to beat a side like Eibar at home. As you can imagine with their best in the table, Eibar’s performances this season have been poor. Looking at xG there’s nothing to suggest they are creating a lot – even in their 1-0 win over Sevilla the xG was 2.07 to 0.12 in Sevilla’s favour. If Barcelona turn up in reasonable form, they win easily for me and that 1.4 is just too big to ignore.

The Ultra Says:
Five points win Barcelona to beat Eibar at 1.4 on BETDAQ Betting Exchange
