CHAMPIONS LEAGUE LAST 16: The Ultra previews Wednesday’s second leg games between BAYERN MUNICH v PSG and TOTTENHAM v AC MILAN both with a recommended BETDAQ bet.

BAYERN MUNICH V PSG

8pm The Champions League Last 16 continues on BETDAQ Betting Exchange with more second leg ties on Wednesday night! We really have a blockbuster night ahead with two cracking ties, and they are perfectly set up too with just one goal between the sides. It’s a real shame that they both kick off at the same time! We kick off the evening with Bayern Munich hosting PSG, and this is what the Champions League is all about. PSG went into the first leg of this tie under a bit of a cloud with fans protesting outside their training ground after losses to Monaco and Marseille in the French Cup. They actually played quite well in the circumstances, and a draw would have probably been a fair result. Bayern finished the game with a higher xG figure, but there wasn’t much between the sides. Since then PSG have played three games and scored 11 goals – including a 3-0 win over Marseille. Bayern Munich have thrown in a loss in their three games meaning they are level on points with Dortmund at the top of the Bundesliga. It’s clear that Bayern haven’t been at their best in the Bundesliga this season, but they will still very likely win the title. As always, PSG will be judged on their Champions League performances rather than winning Ligue 1.

This should be a cracking game to be honest. Bayern Munich come into the game as the odds on favourites – they are trading 1.88 at the time of writing with PSG 3.9 and the draw is 4.6. We have a huge amount of attacking talent on display here, but the PSG midfield is going to be a huge issue again. Obviously you have to front three and they take all the headlines, but there isn’t much behind them. This is really only highlighted against the top sides, and Bayern at home will surely expose any issues PSG have. From that point of view, Bayern look good value at 1.88 in my opinion. As I said above, they finished with the higher xG figure in a close game, and now with home advantage it would be a surprise if they couldn’t get the job done. Obviously it has to be a worry that they don’t need to win here, a draw would see them through after the 1-0 win in the first leg. The market is expecting goals with Over 2.5 goals trading 1.52 and I have to say I expected to see Overs trading much shorter. I like the Bayern price and the Over 2.5 goals price here to be honest, and I wouldn’t put anyone off Bayern at 1.88 but the more confident bet is Over 2.5 goals at 1.52.

The Ultra Says:
Four points win Over 2.5 goals at 1.52 with BETDAQ BETTING EXCHANGE.

TOTTENHAM V AC MILAN

8pm We have another fascinating tie here as Spurs host AC Milan. Both sides are having a difficult time at the moment, and both of them lost at the weekend. Spurs can say that they were unlucky to lose away to Wolves, while AC Milan were very poor away from home against Fiorentina. That loss left AC Milan a whopping 18 points behind Serie A leaders Napoli, and they won’t be defending their title this season – indeed, they have a big struggle on to stay in the top four at the moment. Spurs have that struggle too – they have benefitted from Newcastle dropping points over recent weeks, but now they are only three points ahead of Liverpool but have played a game more. I wouldn’t be surprised at all to see Spurs drop out of the top four in the Premier League as the season goes on. A key factor here will be home advantage though – we all know that Spurs away performances this season have been very poor, and you can say the same about AC Milan too. Although they lost the first leg, Spurs will be thankful that it was only 1-0 because AC Milan finished the game with an xG of 2.09. They could have won 2-0 or 3-0, and then we’d have a very different situation here. A 1-0 lead isn’t really a lead you’re going to come here to just defend with, but we have seen some incredible defending performances from Italian sides over the years in the Champions League. Spurs come into the game as the favourites, but I can’t see them being too popular at 2.0.

Although I feel it would take a brave punter to back Spurs at 2.0, I wouldn’t be rushing to lay them either. AC Milan haven’t really put in impressive performances away from home this season. They have struggled plenty of times away from home, and then you have Spurs being reasonably solid at home too. Spurs have lost their last four away games, but won their last two home games – including a 2-0 Chelsea win. I feel Spurs will grind out a win, but I’m also happy to stay away from the match odds market here. It’s just hard to have confidence in either side. With Spurs being one goal behind, they’re going to have to attack and that will bring an interesting and reasonably open game. I’m going to keep stakes small here, but Both Teams To Score at 1.91 looks nice value. Spurs have been conceding so many sloppy goals this season I can see AC Milan scoring at some stage, but also AC Milan have been poor away from home so Spurs can find the net at some stage. This is definitely a game for small stakes compared to the Bayern Munich v PSG game!

The Ultra Says:
One point win Both Teams To Score at 1.91 with BETDAQ BETTING EXCHANGE.
