CHAMPIONS LEAGUE PREVIEW: Our European football tipster The Ultra previews Wednesday’s Champions League games between FC MIDTJYLLAND V LIVERPOOL and MANCHESTER CITY V MARSEILLE both with a recommended BETDAQ bet.

FC MIDTJYLLAND V LIVERPOOL

5.55pm The Premier League clubs have the luxury of topping the Group going into the final round of games and we’re bound to see a host of changes tonight. Jurgen Klopp has been one of the more vocal managers about the fixture list this season. With Liverpool four points clear at the top of Group D I think he’ll change the whole XI! It should be a nice break for the first XI with two Premier League fixtures coming up in the next seven days after this fixture. The question we face tonight from a betting point of view on BETDAQ Betting Exchange is; will Liverpool’s second XI be good enough to beat Midtjylland?

Middtjylland are certain of last position with only one point from five games. They have definitely looked very weak in this Group and to answer the question above; I think Liverpool’s second XI will be good enough here. You have to remember in situations like this, these are players pushing for a starting place in the first team so they’re going to give it their all even though “there’s nothing to play for” points wise. Liverpool’s younger side and reserves have had success in the past in Cups and although stakes should be kept low because of the situation, I still feel Liverpool are worth backing at 2.14.

The Ultra Says:
One point win Liverpool to beat FC Midtjylland at 2.14 on BETDAQ Betting Exchange

MANCHESTER CITY V MARSEILLE

8pm Man City’s game is a little bit more interesting than Liverpool’s tonight with Marseille needing to get something to get into the Europa League. They sit bottom of Group C however they have the same amount of points as Olympiacos and with City certain of top spot they will be hopeful to meet a lacklustre City side. As I said in the above fixture though, the players in the second XI are playing for a spot in the starting XI so there’s no reason for them to be lacklustre. It’s just a case of them being good enough. City’s second XI would probably be a mid-table Premier League side given their riches!

Marseille have been pretty poor in this Group and City hammered them 3-0 when the sides met. City are a little too short for me at 1.42 given the likely changes. I can see them winning, I just don’t want to back a side at those odds who don’t need to win. With City having problems at the back and Marseille needing something from this game I’m going to have a small investment on over 2.5 goals at 1.7. We could see a very open game here if City score early. I take on board Marseille might play for the 0-0 but I feel we’ll see a goal before HT and then we’ll have an open game.

The Ultra Says:
One point win Over 2.5 goals at 1.7 on BETDAQ Betting Exchange
