EUROPA LEAGUE WEDNESDAY PREVIEW: Our European football tipster The Ultra previews Wednesday’s Europa league game between TOTTENHAM v WOLFSBERGER AC with a recommended BETDAQ bet.

TOTTENHAM V WOLFSBERGER AC

5pm As well as Champions League action on Wednesday, we also have one Europa League game as Spurs host Wolfsberger. This tie was effectively put to bed in the first leg with Spurs running out 4-1 winners, and Wolfsberger will be gutted to have conceded that many as you feel this would be a very interesting evening if there was only a goal in it. Spurs have been very poor in the Premier League recently, but the reality is Wolfsberger blew their chances in the first leg. xG had the game a lot closer finishing 2.34 to 2.06 to Spurs and I expect more goals tonight.

Spurs look a little short to me at their current 1.31 on BETDAQ Betting Exchange. I wouldn’t be massively confident lumping on those odds and I wouldn’t be keen putting them in an Acca too. They have been very unreliable this season, however we have to considering the gulf in class between the sides here. Last season Wolfsberger finished fourth in the Austrian Bundesliga to get into the Europa League for the first time ever, but they have gone back to being a mid-table side this season.

Spurs have also become a mid-table Premier League side in recent weeks. After losing 2-1 to West Ham on Sunday they ended up in 9th position – at least they are still ahead of Arsenal! However, it’s almost hard to believe they were title challengers at the start of the season, indeed they played Liverpool in a top of the table clash not long ago – now Spurs are mid-table and Liverpool are out of the top four. I can see Jose Mourinho opting to rest a few players here given the three goal lead so we’re unlikely to see Kane. We should see Bale however who has featured in this competition.

Wolfsberger created enough in the first leg to suggest that they can score again here, and we have to consider how poor Spurs have been this season. They have conceded a lot of goals themselves. I really like goals here, but so does the market with over 2.5 goals trading 1.44. I feel Wolfsberger can score however, and Both Teams To Score is worth backing at 1.8.
