CASCARINO CHAMPIONS LEAGUE PREVIEW: Tony Cascarino gives his tips for Matchday Five of the Champions League

Tony’s Top Tip:

Looking at the games today, even though you have the British sides such as Man United, Chelsea and Celtic all in action, I think you have to look elsewhere for some good value, and that’s why my Top Tip comes in the massive game in Group D between Juventus and Barcelona. I’m backing Barcelona in this one. I just feel that Juve have lost their edge in recent times. You’ve got Buffon facing retirement, they’re four points off Napoli in the league and also have Inter and Roma there in the mix. These are teams they would normally be close to ten points clear of at this stage. They’re facing a Barcelona side who got a draw in the reverse fixture and currently sit four points clear in La Liga, and ten points better off than fierce rivals Real Madrid. I just think they’ll be too strong tonight.

Tony’s Top Tip:

Back Barcelona @ 2.5

Tony’s Back & Lay for Atlético Madrid v Roma:

Again, I’ve kept away from the English sides and have picked the other clash of Spain and Italy for two more value bets. Roma travel to Atlético tonight and I really think they could get a win here so I’m backing them, and as well as that, I’m laying Atlético. After a couple of poor draws against Qarabag, Atlético are all but out so I think they’re here for the taking. They’re not in good form and couldn’t get a win against Real at the weekend which they really needed, whereas in comparison, Roma are flying.  They’ve won six on the bounce, including that great win at home to Chelsea, and I think that this evening they have more than enough to come away with another victory.

Tony’s Best Back & Lay:

Back Roma @ 4.6

Lay Atlético @ 1.9
