PREMIER LEAGUE PREVIEW Some very tough games to choose from this weekend, put have picked three I really feel can keep my good run going. I will be previewing Watford v Bouremouth, Man United v Stoke and Spurs v City.

Watford v Bournemouth

3.00pm Saturday At this stage it must seem like I have something against this Bournemought side, opposing them three weeks on the trot. I really don’t, I’m just picking the prices I feel make most sense. And to me this one really makes sense. I was proved wrong by Bournemouth last weekend as they kept a clean sheet and beat Everton, but I really feel like these clean sheets will be very few and far between for this Bournemouth side.

They will struggle this weekend against a front two of Deeney and Ighalo. They are a real handful for any defence, and expect them to find gaps in this back four. They are a great partnership up front, full of running and a lot of power as well. They are the exact type of player most centre backs hate coming up against and I expect to see a couple of goals from them this weekend. Factor in Capoue coming in from midfield and you have some serious goal threats in the Watford side, I just don’t see Bournemouth being able to record a second clean sheet in a row. It will be a challenge all year for them, and this week I think they will be outdone on the road.

Man United v Stoke City

12.00pm Sunday We saw an excellent performance by Man united last weekend against Leicester. They looked nervy at the beginning, but once that first goal went in they really turned on the style. Leaving Rooney out of the side was the right call, the formation really looked to gel a lot better without him there. Mata right now is a much better number 10 to be in the side, and I expect to see a lot more of him, and a lot more performances like we saw last weekend.

Stoke have had a horrendous start to the season. They sit second from bottom with two points from six games. There was a bit of hype around this team coming into the season, just look at some of the names they have in attacking positions, how would one not become a bit optimistic? But they have been let down at the back, massively. They just don’t have the strength that they did in years past, and at his advanced age Shay Given just can’t drag them out of it anymore.

I don’t see this one being close. Man United will have their tales up following a demolition of Leicester and they will be looking to continue this form for a while. With so many top level players in the side, once fully figured out they are going to be terrifying for any side to come up against. Look for them to be a lot more adventurous going forward, I think they will have a few goals in them on Sunday.

Spurs v Man City

2.15pm Sunday Man City’s 100% record under Pep Guardiola finally came to an end against Celtic. It was a great performance by the Hoops after getting destroyed 7-0 by Barcelona in their first game. This is a really tough test for the City side after the disappointing result. They will be taking on a Spurs side who are finding some form and are coming off a good win in Russia. It will be a real test of Guardiola’s team to see how they handle the disappointment of midweek.

I think Spurs strengths really don’t sit well for Man City. They are very good at set pieces with players like Alderweireld attacking the ball. The new guy Janssen up front will play a big role, he is not as quick or as natural a finisher as Harry Kane but he is a real physical force. He will make it difficult for the defenders, and despite their improvements this season physicality is still the best way top beat City.

Both teams will have played mid week. Spurs had further to travel but I don’t think it will have too much on an effect on them this early in the year. City will be licking their wounds somewhat after only getting a point out of what looked to be a very winnable game. I give Spurs a bit of an edge here, playing at home after a string of good results. They would have expected to drop a small bit with Kane out of the team, but other players have stepped up for the team. Of course on their day Man City can beat any side, but I still give Spurs the edge to ruin Pep’s 100% Premier League record.

BETDAQ BEST BET:
Lay Man City at 2.52.
