TOP FOUR RACE: As the race for the top four in the Premier League hots up, the global betting exchange have tracked each side chasing European qualification’s remaining matches.

Despite being three points outside of the Champions League places, this season’s remaining fixtures seem to have gone Liverpool’s way according to research from BETDAQ.

With all of the clubs bar Everton (eight) having seven games remaining, the average league position of the sides Liverpool have to face is 13th – the highest of those in the shake-up – while the surprise package of the season, West Ham, also have a fairly easy run-in with the sides they are left to face averaging a position of 12.7th.

Chelsea, who have lost just once in the league since Thomas Tuchel took over as manager, still have to face league leaders Manchester City, Arsenal and top-four rivals Leicester and as a result their fixture list is the hardest at an average position of 8.7th.

BETDAQ head of marketing, Mark Harkin, said: “With the Premier League title all but Manchester City’s and relegation looking a pretty much foregone conclusion too, the race for the top four looks to be the real talking point for the remainder of the season.

“We’ve taken a look at the remaining matches for the six sides chasing Champions League football and, despite their struggles this season, Liverpool could still be in the best position to be dining at Europe’s top table next season as they have the easiest fixture list, according to average league position.

“While Jurgen Klopp’s side have the most favourable remaining set of fixtures, the same can’t be said for Chelsea who face a much tougher schedule with the teams they are due to face having an average league position of 8.7th.”
