UEFA NATIONS LEAGUE: We preview Friday’s UEFA Nations League matches between NETHERLANDS v FRANCE and WALES v DENMARK with recommended BETDAQ bets.

NETHERLANDS V FRANCE

7.45pm After missing out on the last two major tournaments, the jury was certainly out on The Netherlands. They looked to be a team in decline and after being put in Group A1 with France and Germany things were looking bleak. They narrowly lost 2-1 in their opener against France but then shocked everyone with a 3-0 here at home to Germany – that has made this Group very interesting! The French will want to avoid an embarrassing result like the Germans and a win or draw would see the World Champions France top the Group.

The match odds at the time of writing currently trade; Netherlands 3.3, France 2.38 and the draw is 3.6. France have won eight of their last ten competitive matches and were so impressive at the World Cup. Germany obviously had a poor World Cup and perhaps we shouldn’t judge the Netherlands on that 3-0 win especially with home advantage. Netherlands haven’t been a classy outfit for a while and we will need to see more from them to consider them a threat to this brilliant French team. We feel France are easily ten ticks too big here and we’re happy to back them at 2.38.

BETDAQ BEST BET:
France to beat Netherlands at 2.38.

WALES V DENMARK

7.45pm With Ireland having a terrible year this game is massive in Group B4. Wales currently sit top with six points and Denmark are just behind with four. A win for Wales would see them go up to League A; while a win for Denmark would see Ireland relegated. They won’t be thinking about Ireland tonight though and this should be a cracking affair – we have a very open market and we should see a very close game too.

The match odds at the time of writing currently trade; Wales 3.0, Denmark 2.78 and the draw is 3.15. Denmark have already beaten Wales recently when winning 2-0 win home advantage – Wales are always a better team in Cardiff though and you’d have to expect home advantage to bring the teams closer together now. Denmark also have a poor record away from home; they couldn’t even beat Ireland away from home which is a massive worry if you’re considering backing them here. Their main man Eriksen was injured for that game though and we can see both teams cancelling each other out here and we will see a very even game, especially in midfield – we like the draw at 3.15.

BETDAQ BEST BET:
Draw at 3.15.
