UEFA NATIONS LEAGUE: We preview Sunday’s Nations League games between RUSSIA v TURKEY and POLAND v ITALY with recommended BETDAQ bets.
RUSSIA V TURKEY
5pm The UEFA Nations League continues on Sunday and we kick off our preview with Russia v Turkey. This will be the third time these two have played each other in recent months, so hopefully that makes betting easier! This game to seal the Group win for Russia after they beat Turkey already away from home and the other team in this Group, Sweden, sit bottom with one point from two games.
Russia are favourites however they aren’t odds on. The match odds at the time of writing currently trade; Russia 2.38, Turkey 3.6 and the draw is 3.3. After beating Turkey away from home and keeping in mind their brilliant performance at the World Cup, Russia look huge value here at 2.38. Turkey are a solid side however as we seen in the last game between these sides, we feel that they just don’t have the quality to fully compete with this Russian side. It will probably only be a one goal win, perhaps 1-0 or 2-1 (again), however we can’t get away from the Russia price at 2.38.

POLAND V ITALY
7.45pm This will be a very interesting game; perhaps not because of the quality of the sides but rather the fact that both are struggling so much. Portugal are already sitting pretty at the top of this Group with two wins from two games while these two sit with only one point after drawing in Italy. It’s obviously encouraging for Poland they could draw away from home; and now they will fancy their chances of getting all three points here.
The match odds at the time of writing currently trade; Poland 3.25, Italy 2.54 and the draw is 3.25. Italy look very short at 2.54 – they have been very poor in recent times. Obviously we all know that they missed out on the World Cup however they have started this campaign poorly too. They just aren’t creating chances and scoring enough goals to win games at the moment – they must be very low on confidence and will face a tricky night here too. We have to lay Italy at the odds here.
