UEFA NATIONS LEAGUE: We preview Sunday’s two UEFA Nations League games between DENMARK v WALES and FRANCE v NETHERLANDS both with a recommended BETDAQ bet.

DENMARK V WALES

5pm Wales return to action on Sunday afternoon after hammering Ireland 4-1 on Thursday night. Confidence will be sky high in the camp after a win like that, especially after Ireland beating them and ending their bid for a place at the World Cup. It’s hard to know how to rate the Ireland win as Ireland were very poor, and Denmark will pose a much tougher test today.

The match odds at the time of writing currently trade; Denmark 2.16, Wales 3.85 and the draw is 3.5. There has been some trouble in the camp with Denmark lately, and Slovakia easily beat a weakened XI 3-0 earlier in the week. They performed well at the World Cup though – they didn’t lose a game in four – however they did draw three out of four games. Two of those games were against France and Croatia who we all know made the final. It’s tough to know what to expect from Denmark here with their trouble in the camp and with Wales playing well at the moment we feel the percentage call from a value point of view is the Denmark lay at 2.16 – we expect a closer game than those odds suggest.

BETDAQ BEST BET:
Lay Denmark at 2.16.

FRANCE V NETHERLANDS

7.45pm Once upon a time this would have been a huge clash; perhaps it still is however it is obviously weakened with the quality of the Netherlands going down in recent years. They have missed out on Euro 2016 and the World Cup in 2018; you’d imagine they are under immense pressure to make the next major tournament. France got a good draw in Germany on Thursday night away from home and the World Cup Champions will be full of confident for this one.

France are heavy favourites with home advantage, with the match odds at the time of writing currently trading; France 1.51, Netherland 7.4 and the draw is 4.6. Given the way that the Netherlands have played in qualifying tournaments in recent years it’s hard to see them troubling the World Cup Champions away from home. France have bags of talent in their XI and after their draw with Germany this is a good opportunity for a win here. We feel that the 1.51 is just about big enough to back and we’re happy to take those odds.

BETDAQ BEST BET:
France to beat Netherlands at 1.51.
