UEFA NATIONS LEAGUE SEMI-FINAL: We preview Thursday’s UEFA League semi-final between NETHERLANDS V ENGLAND with a recommended BETDAQ bet.
7.45pm What a brilliant semi-final! Many football fans may question the Nations League, but at the end of the day it’s a competition with a trophy and both these sides will be desperate to win. England had a superb Group stage campaign which was full of great moments for the fans, and there’s no doubt that this England side – along with Gareth Southgate – has won back the public after a couple of unsettled years.
The match odds at the time of writing currently trade; Netherlands 3.15, England 2.6 and the draw is 3.3. The Netherlands will be absolutely delighted to reach this stage after missing the last two major tournaments and they are an improving side. They have beaten France and Germany recently, so England will need to be in top form to win this one!
England come into this tie full of goals. They have netted ten in their last two games, although they did come against Montenegro and Czech Republic. Prior to that though they managed to score three away to Spain, and they have so much attacking talent on display it’s not to see them not scoring. While they may score goals; they also have a problem conceding them. They have kept just three in their in their last 13 games – Czech Republic, USA and Croatia.
While England can score – so can Netherlands. They have banged in ten goals in their last four games and those games have come against, Germany twice, Belarus and France. It’s hard to pick a winner in the match odds here as both teams have been very impressive lately – the draw probably makes the most appeal at 3.3. Both Teams To Score really stands out in the markets at 1.8 though – that looks massive. Both like to fight fire with fire, and it’s hard to see anything but an attacking and open game here. Hopefully we see an excellent game to watch with plenty of goals!
