UEFA NATIONS LEAGUE: We preview Thursday’s UEFA Nations League matches between BELGIUM v ICELAND and CROATIA v SPAIN with recommended BETDAQ bets.
BELGIUM V ICELAND
7.45pm We’ve had some excellent drama in the Champions League and Premier League in recent weeks, and while a lot of football fans will moan about the return of the International Break – we have plenty of excellent fixtures over the next couple of days. We kick off the UEFA Nations League action with Belgium hosting Iceland in Group A2. Iceland have yet to win a game in the competition – losing three from three and this will be a massive ask to get something away to Belgium.
The hosts are heavy odds on favourites with the match odds at the time of writing currently trading; Belgium 1.21, Iceland 18.5 and the draw is 8.0. It’s very difficult to see anything bar an easy Belgium win here – they very recently beat Iceland 3-0 away from home in this competition and it’s hard to see how Iceland can turn things around. They look to be going backwards since their wonderful Euro 2016 and we expect a big Belgium win here. Any Other Home Win (Belgium to score four or more and win) is 3.45 in the Correct Score market and that looks great value.

CROATIA V SPAIN
7.45pm This is undoubtedly the highlight of Thursday night as the World Cup Finalists host Spain in Group A4. Croatia need a result here as they sit adrift at the bottom of the table with only one point from two games which came behind closed doors against England. Spain recently played them with home advantage and hammered them 6-0 – it will obviously be harder for Spain being away from home now however there was an obvious gulf in class last time around. Croatia haven’t played well since the World Cup; and now is the time to start!
The match odds at the time of writing currently trade; Croatia 3.85, Spain 2.2 and the draw is 3.45. If you look at the Croatia v England game; they were very lucky to escape with a point and it’s fair to say that they have been very poor so far in the UEFA Nations League. With Spain already beating them 6-0 we can’t get away from Spain here at 2.2 which looks a massive price. A win here would see them top the Group and they can outclass Croatia again.
