UEFA NATIONS LEAGUE: We preview Tuesday’s two UEFA Nations League games between ICELAND v BELGIUM and SPAIN v CROATIA both with a recommended BETDAQ bet.
ICELAND V BELGIUM
7.45pm It’s the last day of the International break with the final UEFA Nations League games before the players head back to their clubs. Iceland will be looking to try and bounce back quickly after a 6-0 loss to Switzerland on Saturday evening. We noted in their preview that they haven’t been the force of old these days – almost peaking in Euro 2016 and not reaching that kind of form again. Belgium are an impressive outfit, and warmed up for this clash with a smooth 4-0 win away from home against Scotland.
Belgium are heavy favourites, with the match odds at the time of writing currently trading; Iceland 12.5, Belgium 1.3 and the draw is 6.2. Looking at Iceland’s recent games, it’s hard to see anything but a Belgium win here. Shipping six goals against Switzerland has to be a major worry because Belgium are another few levels above Switzerland and we can see an easy Belgium win here. They’re currently trading 1.85 -1.5 goals and that looks great value with their attacking talent.

SPAIN V CROATIA
7.45pm This is the highlight of today’s games and it should be an excellent clash! Spain had a very disappointing World Cup while Croatia made it all the way to the final and it will be very interesting to see how the in-transition Spanish side cope with a peak Croatian side. Obviously Spain having home advantage is a big help, but we still feel they look a little short in the market.
The match odds at the time of writing on BETDAQ currently trade; Spain 1.65, Croatia 6.4 and the draw is 4.1. As we all seen in the World Cup, Croatia are a tough side to beat and we expected Spain to be a little higher. They managed to get the job done on Saturday night with a 2-1 win over England at Wembley however you’d have to say that Croatia are a better side than England looking at the quality they have in midfield. From a value point of view, we have to lay Spain here at 1.65 – we just expect this game to be closer than those odds suggest.
