UEFA NATIONS LEAGUE SEMI-FINAL: We preview Wednesday’s UEFA League semi-final between PORTUGAL v SWITZERLAND with a recommended BETDAQ bet.

7.45pm Now that the Europa League and Champions League winners have been decided, attention turns to the International stage. We have the first semi-final in the Nations League now for decision on Thursday night and this is set up to be a cracker.

The match odds at the time of writing are currently trading; Portugal 1.69, Switzerland 6.2 and the draw is 4.0. Portugal have home advantage here, however they have a poor recent record at home. They have drawn their last three competitive matches, and it’s fair to say that they have become a little bit dull to watch. Their success is built on being strong at the back; however they has obviously had a negative impact on their ability to score goals.

Drawing at home against Poland, Ukraine and Serbia makes the home side look more than a little short at 1.69 here. Switzerland have only lost once since the World Cup and that came against Belgium who have plenty of stars in their first XI. Switzerland are better at attacking than Portugal; however with Portugal having home advantage it’s likely that this might be a boring game to watch.

We’re very surprised to see under 2.5 goals as big as 1.82. With the way that Portugal set up, we expected that price to be closer to 1.65. While Switzerland who have some good attacking options and have seen goals in their recent games, we can’t away from unders here. Under 2.5 goals has won in the last four Portugal matches and it’s hard to see anything but a very tight affair here. We expect Portugal to close the door on Switzerland and the 1.82 looks massive.

BETDAQ BEST BET:
Under 2.5 goals at 1.82.
