The return of the Premier League sees a Christmas cracker of a Boxing Day After an incredible World Cup in Qatar, the football world has been eagerly anticipating the restart of club football. As the Premier League could be about to offer potentially one of the most evolutionary seasons of the century, with new teams rising the ranks, the old guard being rattled off their perch, and the world’s best players descending to every corner of the British Isles, the feast was never going to be gone for long and hooks us back in style.

BOXING DAY
Kicking off the traditional cranberry-packed Boxing Day schedule of fixtures on Monday, Brentford take on Tottenham at 12:30 on Amazon Prime, throwing us right into the action. Amazon Prime is then the host of the rest of the top-flight games for the day, with Crystal Palace v Fulham, Everton v Wolves, and Leicester v Newcastle all kicking off at 15:00. Arguably, the best games of the day take place in the evening with Amazon Prime again the host for Aston Villa v Liverpool and Arsenal v West Ham at 17:30 and 20:00 respectively. There are no worries for the NFL fans who don’t go without; Tampa Bay Buccaneers v Arizona Cardinals gets into action at 01:20 on Sky Sports.

TUESDAY
The World Darts Championship kicks Tuesday into gear at 12:30 (Sky Sports) before the Christmas football continues with Reading hosting Swansea in the Championship at 17:15 on Sky Sports. Chelsea v Bournemouth is the Amazon Prime choice of the afternoon at 17:30 before Manchester United face Nottingham Forest at 20:00 on the same platform. Burnley v Birmingham in the Championship runs from 20:00 on Sky Sports before the NFL offers another fixture in LA Chargers v Indianapolis Colts at 01:15 (Sky Sports).


WEDNESDAY
Wednesday quiets down with the World Darts Championship continuing at 12:30 (Sky Sports) before what will be an intriguing evening with Leeds United facing Manchester City at 20:00 (Amazon Prime). The Scottish Premiership then throws up a cracker in Hibernian v Celtic, also playing out at 20:00 but on Sky Sports.


THURSDAY
The mid-week largely sees a decline in the amount of football, but Thursday will still be an entertaining day, with the World Darts Championship gearing up at 12:30 on Sky Sports and continuing throughout the day. QPR v Luton and Blackpool v Sheffield United are on for Championship fans at 18:00 and 20:15 respectively (Sky Sports).


FRIDAY
Friday follows in the same vein with the World Darts Championship at 12:30 (Sky Sports) before Liverpool v Leicester City gets underway at 20:00 (Sky Sports). Dallas Cowboys v Tennessee Titans then kicks off at 00:00 (Sky Sports) in the NFL.


SATURDAY
Saturday, the last day of 2022, gives us another entertaining Premier League fixture at 12:30 on BT Sport in Wolves v Manchester United, and then the Rugby Premiership supplies Saracens v Exeter Chiefs at 15:00 (BT Sport). The evening then sees Brighton v Arsenal colliding from 17:30 on Sky Sports.


SUNDAY
The opening to 2023 sees Sunday provide us with the Championship offering of Blackburn v Cardiff at 12:00 (Sky Sports) and Tottenham v Aston Villa in the Premier League at 14:00 (Sky Sports), before Northampton v Harlequins in the Rugby Premiership at 15:00 (BT Sport) and Nottingham Forest v Chelsea in the Premier League at 16:30 (Sky Sports) brings an end to a fantastic week of sport.
