WEEK AHEAD: A cracking seven days of sport features Premier League and Carabao Cup football, England Test cricket, the FedEx Cup finale, and the return of the F1.


A jampacked week of sport kicks off with an intriguing fixture in The Hundred as Welsh Fire take on Southern Brave at 18:30 (Sky Sports). Monday evening is then blessed with one of the best Premier League matchups of the season in Manchester United v Liverpool which will be on Sky Sports at 20:00.

Tuesday features another Hundred match as Oval Invincibles come up against Birmingham Phoenix at 18:30 (Sky Sports) before the Carabao Cup second-round game between Bolton and Aston Villa kicks off at 19:45 (Sky Sports).

London Spirit v Welsh Fire in The Hundred gets Wednesday into gear (18:30, Sky Sports), and then League Two Tranmere Rovers host Newcastle in the Carabao Cup second-round (19:45, Sky Sports). Could there be an upset on the cards? The Champions League qualifying second leg tie between PSV Eindhoven and Rangers is finely posed at 2-2, and it sees us into Thursday at 20:00 on BT Sport.

The England Test cricket team are back in action on Thursday as they take on South Africa in the first day of the second match in their Test series from Old Trafford (11:00, Sky Sports). The European Masters then tees off at 12:30 (Sky Sports), and the Tour Championship gets going at 17:30 (Sky Sports).
