WEEK AHEAD: We look at the sporting action over the next seven days and some of the highlights on BETDAQ ….


The week ahead brings plenty to be excited about in the world of sports as we continue the fresh start into the New Year with plenty of action to keep you entertained.

MONDAY
The start of the week kicks off with some third-round FA Cup football, with Oxford United welcoming Arsenal to Kassam Stadium, where The U’s hope to reach the back of the net against Arsenal for the first time since 1986. You can tune in from 20:00 on ITV to catch the game.

TUESDAY
The Masters continues as Tuesday brings similar drama with the snooker tournament getting started from 13:00 on BBC with the evening session airing from 19:00. An in-form Newcastle United face off against Leicester City for the quarterfinals of the EFL Cup, live on Sky Sports from 20:00.

WEDNESDAY
On Wednesday, the Masters dominates the day once again, with round one continuing from 13:00 for the afternoon session and 19:00 for the evening (BBC) then we see Southampton battle it out with Manchester City in another quarterfinal match of the EFL Cup. If you can’t make it to St Mary’s Stadium, you can join in on the action live on Sky Sports from 20:00.

THURSDAY
On Thursday, the Masters quarter-finals kick off at 13:00, with the evening session again taking place from 19:00 on BBC. Later we head into sunnier territory with day one of the Sony Open in Hawaii, where the top players from across the globe will compete over the $7.9 million purse, live on Sky Sports from 17:00. Meanwhile, Fulham are taking on Chelsea for our first bit of Premier League action for the week, also live on Sky Sports from 20:00.

FRIDAY
As the working week draws to a close, there is plenty of sporting entertainment to keep you company, with the Masters taking centre stage once again. The second of its quarter-final days kicks off at 13:00, continuing again at 19:00 (BBC). The Hero Cup commences its first day live from 08:00 Friday (Sky Sports). The Sony Open in Hawaii is back for its second day from 17:00, and we round off the working week with Aston Villa versus Leeds from 20:00, both live on Sky Sports. From midnight you can also catch the third day of the Sony Open shown on Sky Sports.

SATURDAY
Saturday brings the second day of the Hero Cup from 07:00, while elsewhere, there is plenty of football to enjoy with Rotherham United against Blackburn Rovers in the Championship from 12:30 on Sky Sports. We also have Manchester United facing off against their rivals Manchester City in what should be an unmissable clash from 12:30 on BT Sport. We will be treated to the Masters semi-final one and two in the afternoon, with the first taking place at 13:00 and the second at 19:00 (BBC). Saturday’s footballing action then comes to a close with Brentford against Bournemouth from 17:30 on Sky Sports.

SUNDAY
Sunday’s entertainment starts in the form of day three of the Hero Cup, live again on Sky Sports from 06:30. The Masters comes to a close with the much-anticipated final. Beginning at TBC on BBC.

Tottenham and Arsenal are shaping up for a big game in the Premier League from 16:30, and if all of that wasn’t enough, the week comes to a rather less intense end as day four of the Sony Open in Hawaii rounds off the evening from 23:00 on Sky Sports.
