WORLD CUP PLAYOFF: We preview Saturday’s crucial first leg game between DENMARK v REPUBLIC OF IRELAND with a recommended BETDAQ bet.

DENMARK V REPUBLIC OF IRELAND

7.45pm What a huge night ahead for the Republic of Ireland, and a huge ask to get a result in Denmark! As we’ve seen time and time again with this Irish side, they are better away from home than at home, and perhaps Denmark are short in the market at 1.77. And if you fancy an away win, Ireland are currently 6.6 while the draw is 3.5.

Ireland managed to go to Wales in their last group game and win 1-0, albeit against a Wales side without their main man Bale. That capped a fantastic away record in the groups that seen them go unbeaten on the road. Their style of play seems to suit more when they are away from home, they are more comfortable on the counter and playing without the ball for large parts of the game.

Denmark definitely appeal as a lay at 1.77. They didn’t have the strongest of groups in Group E – it was topped by Poland and they finished ahead of Montenegro and Romania. They didn’t start the group well, but finished superbly winning four of their last five – maybe they have the momentum coming into this one, however they are still too short at 1.77.

As always with Ireland games, it’s likely to be a cagey affair. Under 2.5 goals is only trading 1.56 though, which is too short to back for us. Ireland have actually scored the least amount of goals of any side in the Playoffs so under 1.5 goals might be of interest at around 2.7 or 0-0 at 7.8 for those more brave. However, the stats point of Ireland here – Denmark have only won four of their last ten home matches, and against a side with Ireland’s away record, we just have to lay Denmark at 1.77.

BETDAQ BEST BET:
