WORLD CUP: We preview Wednesday’s three World Cup games between PORTUGAL v MOROCCO, URUGUAY v SAUDI ARABIA and IRAN v SPAIN each with a recommended BETDAQ bet.

PORTUGAL V MOROCCO

1pm Portugal have got off to a strong start in Group B with a 3-3 draw against Spain; looking at the odds prior to that game would suggest a draw was a good result, and now they have a good chance of topping the Group. They drew a lot of games at Euro 2016 however; and they’ll be hoping that they don’t slip up against a tricky Moroccan side.

The match odds at the time if writing currently trade; Portugal 1.69, Morocco 6.8 and the draw is 3.8. Morocco lost out to Iran in the first round of Group games and that would have came as a surprise to many – Morocco have some decent players compared to Iran’s squad. If they play like that again; Portugal will easily beat them. We have to say after seeing the Portugal v Spain game that Portugal look at least ten ticks too big here at 1.69 – they were impressive and Ronaldo is obviously in fine form. We’re going to look no further than a Portugal win to start the day.

BETDAQ BEST BET:
Portugal to beat Morocco at 1.69.

URUGUAY V SAUDI ARABIA

4pm Uruguay struggled to break down Egypt in their first game however they got the job done in the end with a late winner. They should easily follow that up with another win here as Saudi Arabia looked very poor in the opening game against Russia. Based on what we’ve seen thus far; you could say that Saudi Arabia are the worst team in the tournament and it’s no surprise to see Uruguay so short in the markets.

The match odds at the time of writing currently trade; Uruguay 1.18, Saudi Arabia 22.0 and the draw is 8.8. The best Saudi Arabia can seem to hope for is a draw, and while Uruguay are simply too short for backing at 1.18 – it’s hard to see anything but a Uruguay win here. Uruguay took a while to break down Iran though and with that in mind we’re going to take a chance with under 3.5 goals at 1.6 – that looks good value considering it’s unlikely that Saudi Arabia score and you’d have to expect them to just try to defend for most of the game. Uruguay will win in the end, but perhaps Saudi Arabia can frustrate them at times.

BETDAQ BEST BET:
Under 3.5 goals at 1.6.

IRAN V SPAIN

7pm Spain had to settle for a draw in their opening game against Portugal thanks to some Ronaldo magic and they should get off to winning ways here against Iran. We had a surprise when Iran beat Morocco in the first round of Group games however they market can’t see past a Spanish win here. At the time of writing, Spain are currently 1.2, with Iran 24.0 and the draw is 7.8.

Much like Saudi Arabia in the earlier kick off; the best that Iran can hope for seems to be a draw. It’s nearly impossible to see past a Spanish win here though; they were impressive in the opening game against Portugal despite all the drama leading into that game with the sacking of their manager. They could find it hard to break down a well drilled Iran side with no manager; and that makes some markets very interesting. ‘Any Other Away Win’ (Spain to score four or more and win) looks pretty short at 4.3 considering how well drilled Iran looked in the opener, however we’re going to take a chance with under 2.5 goals at 2.1 which looks good value at odds against. We expect a 1-0 or 2-0 win for Spain.

BETDAQ BEST BET:
Under 2.5 goals at 2.1.
